Filsinger Games Create A Wrestler Contest

In support of the upcoming GWFZ TERRITORIES, the Official Filsinger Games Message Board is sponsoring a Create An Animan Wrestler Contest. This contest will be open door style with no cap on the number of male or female wrestler entries that can be submitted for consideration. At the end of this month, one winner will be chosen by our panel on the basis of originality, innovation and creative potential. The prize is as follows:

* The winning submission will be incorporated into GWFZ TERRITORIES as an official character, credited to the winner's name with your character being drawn by professional artist Werner Mueck

* The winner will receive a free card stock version of GWFZ TERRITORIES (a $50 value) along with the accompanying PDF Handbook

* The winner will be formally recognized in the GWFZT Handbook in honor of their achievement

Triangle Robin Match One

vs
The Destroyer & Rikidozan (Jim Steel) vs Dan Severn & Ed Strangler Lewis (pikemojo)

An absolute classic as both teams exchange heavy offense in the open leg of the tournament finals. Lewis counters a Rikidozan arm twister into a vicious jack knife arm scissor sequence. The Strangler then follows up with a double wristlock that appears to have broken Riki's left wrist. Dan Severn tags in a quickly follows up with WAKIGATAME as the ref calls for the bell!

Jimmy Snuka: Jushin Liger might call himself lightning, but the Superfly is like a hurricane. When I hit him, he'll feel it for a long time. When I climb to the top and hit the Superfly Leap, he will go down for the 1-2-3. Peace, Brother.

Credit leiscity

*In the locker room of The Ryogoku Kokugikan Jushin Liger bowed his head. He had just lost an uncharacteristically quick match to Ultimo Dragon in yet another big Junior tournament. But that wasn't the problem. In just a few days, his career, and more importantly his LIFE would be on the line as he was going to have brain surgery. This may be the last match of his life, and he couldn't help but tear up. As he leaned up by his locker, his partially damaged mind began to wander....*

"Liger! It's time."

Liger brushes by Tiger Mask with a fury and intention the old master had never seen. Liger rushes to the ring as TM struggles to keep pace....

vs
Jushin Liger (w/ Tiger Mask) vs Jimmy Snuka (w/ RVD)

The Superfly comes out like a raging bull and never looks back. A series of vicious chops send Liger reeling. A piledriver and powerslam set up the SUPERFLY LEAP...1,2,3!

Rob Van Dam vs Chris Candido

Kowalski rallies back with Bombs Away...1,2,NO! A brawl outside the ring sees an overhead body slam knock the wind out of Street...as only KK rolls back inside the ring before the 10 count

vs
George Hackenschmidt vs John Pesek

An intense mat war between these two vintage legends. After several swings in momentum Pesek turns it up a notch with a cross leg pickup and body triangle & crossface. A DOUBLE WRISTLOCK nearly scores the tap. Pesek then transitions seamlessly into the TIGER MAN TOEHOLD as Hackenschmidt verbally submits!

{SD Jones and Bobo Brazil are sitting in the locker room, icing their bodies down.}

SD: Man, I have had it with dumb Giant. I just want to smack him in the mouth.

Bobo: Just chill man! I knows that we will get our hands on him next week.

SD: Yeah, but how is that gonna make it any better?

Bobo: We will challenge him to a tag team match.

SD: And...

Bobo: And, we will set up his partner to be someone that we pay off to help us jump him.

SD: How are we gonna do that?

Bobo: Do sweat it...I got is all worked out.

{Nick Bockwinkel comes out of the shower.}

Nick: Gentlemen, just a quick word of advice. In the future, when you plan treachery, you should watch who can hear you. As Andre will need a partner, I have no problem teaming with him. I truly can not stand ignorance and I will look forward to helping the big man stomp it out.

{Nick walked to his locker and proceed to get dressed, as SD and Bobo looked at each other.}

Nick: Oh, and less you think you can merely way-lay me here and hide you treachery, remember that these walls have ears.

{Nick finishes dressing and takes his bag.}

Nick: Get some rest, gentlemen.

vs
Andre the Giant & Nick Bockwinkel vs. SD Jones & Bobo Brazil

Bockwinkel out wrestles Jones early. An abdominal stretch and FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK both draw lunging saves by Bobo Brazil. A tag to Andre The Giant sees the big man connect with a sitdown splash...1,2,3!

An Aussie Suplex nets a near fall. Dan Severn finally tags in but his turnbuckle charge is quickly countered. A Heffernan Crocodile Smash almost puts things away. BOOMERANG...1,2,SAVE BY LEWIS. RVD sits in a locker room with a towel on his neck.

RVD: Well Jimmy and I had a good run but had a little bit of bad luck. That's okay. It happens. Now, I've got Tiger Mask in my sights. He thinks he flys high, but I fly higher. I'm going to take him down and show him that it's a new day and the time is 4:20. You will go down to the five star frog splash because it's a new night and that night is spelled. R-V-D.

Satoru Sayama sits at home, alone, meditating. The 52 year old begins to clear his mind and his brain transports......

"SAYAMA! Good, you are back. I'm not competing tonight, but you get to face RVD. He is very similar to us, but..."

"Stop right there Yamada. Rob is NOTHING like us. He is a slacker, a poseur and a fraud. He only wants to think he is like us because he thinks it is 'cool'. I can not stand him. I can not stand his lifestyle. I will make an example of him and his 4:20. You must learn Yamada, people like Rob are a dime a dozen. You must not listen to him......"

Page: Listen, Bagwell…what money I got…I got the old fashioned way…

Bagwell: Well…you may be average…but BUFF…is way above average…that would have never happened to me…

Dick Murdoch vs Cyclone Negro 1976

This was from Jim Crockett's Mid Atlantic promotion and was formatted as a taped fist match. With 11 years behind him, a 30 year old Dick Murdoch is seen at his athletic peak. Cyclone Negro was an international star whose career dated as far back as the late 50's yet was still a force in the industry stretching into the late 70's. A nice Murdoch prime viewing with both men throwing some of the most realistic looking worked punches you'll ever see. Watch Cyclone hit the Pedigree long before it was supposedly invented by HHH...along with DM's patented brain buster at the close.

Al Snow and Ox Baker are standing outside the lockerroom with a camera crew. Snow is holding a bulging gym bag.

Snow: Buff Bagwell and Diamon Dallas Page, two guys who have a ton of ability. Well, you two are in our way in this tournament here and we'll just have to remove this roadblock from our path. Some of the teams here have given themselves a team name, we hadn't until now come up with one, but it's a doozy and it'll catch fire like nothing before. From here on out we will be known as......

<Snow pulls out Head from the gym bag, Head has had a haircut and is bald>Bald <Snow points at Ox's head> Head! Bald Head! Snow shakes Head into the air several time as Ox simply scowls at Snow.

Sky High Promo

RVD
Well, Baba and Bobo tried to stop us and they couldn't. Now it's those Old Schoolers Hack and Pesek. They'll try and ground us but they can't keep two good guys down. We'll show them how to get high but then they're going to go down, tell them Superfly.

Snuka
Brother, those two are strong but we're going to show them moves they never saw back in the day. We're going all the way here and there's nothing they can do about it.

RVD
Because we're Sky High and all others including Hack and Pesek are going to go down.

Credit Dragon350

We see the Shooter's Club backstage, and John Pesek is again doing all the talking while George Hackenschmidt just smiles and nods with his arms crossed. "Again, we're not big on talking, and we're definitely not big on ENTERTAINING. We outwrestled those two Japanese Jumping Beans, and now we've got our sights set on two more high-flyers, 'R-V-D and the Superfly...' Well, they'll get the same treatment. You can't fly if you can't walk!"

vs

Black Gordman & Great Goliath vs Andre The Giant 3/22/74

This was from the Los Angeles NWA affiliate ran by the LeBells (Judo Gene & Mike). It was formatted as a handicap match with Andre working his standard friendly giant comedy routine. It's a notable squash because Gordman and Goliath were normally booked in the area as a championship caliber team. Listen to how the announcers lay it on extra thick with the 'undefeated record', 'no man can even score a two count' and '8th wonder of the world' talk.

Back in the day having a shot at programming Andre was a golden opportunity to make some very serious cash. There were different variations on the theme but what smart money minded bookers around the world all had in common was a focus on milking ATG's aura for all that it was worth. LEGENDSonline players now have that same opportunity...with some unique challenges thrown into the equation.
