Lets dont go crazy. Rvd hasn't been topped by any of the guys u mentioned. I think TNA need to get rid of the damn ramp so guys have room to fly. RVD is smarter now as he is getting older about picking his spots to do high risk stuff. The guys u mentioned are a lot younger with way less wear and tear.
Don't agree with u guys about Morgan either. Setting up a Morgan vs Samoa Joe feud will be money and should be ratings gold, at the least we should see some very physical, compelling matchups.
This is the feud that catapults Morgan to that title level he is teetering on currently. Getting the titles off of him was smart so he can now start his world title chase.
I think u guys are putting TNA under too big of a microscope and finding every tiny flaw to magnify.
its wrestling, u can't go over it like u are examining a scholarly work of art or something.
Thing with RVD is that he built his reputation on beng a high flyer and now hes 40 - he cant do that stuff so much anymore. Hopefully he can adapt like HBK did. Another thing is that he hasnt been in a major promotion for 3 years - thats got to take its toll. Hopefully these things will iron themselves out over time - i hope so.
As for Morgan/Joe - im not complaning about that fued, or even a Morgan title run, but having him be out longer than mid-carders are with the same move is poor - hitting one move on him, even a finisher - in todays day and age of kicking out of finishers, makes him look weak. Not good if your trying to push him as 7ft monster going after the title. What happens if Joe hits the muscle buster in a match with Morgan now? If he isnt out for ages or if he kicks out it will look stupid.
Obviously its easier to point out where there failing at TNA rather than the positives - but the negatives at TNA seem to be so much more glaring that id expect. Yeh - wrestling is wrestling, its full of shite storylines, stupid things and inconsistancies - but some of the errors really are basic. Plus, and i know alot of others feel this way aswell, when a promotion has storylines that dont make sense, reach the proper conclusion or are just dropped/changed with no explanation it damages the company. If you get people intrested in a storyline make sure its consistent and actually reaches a finishing point properly. Wrestlings an entertainment show - nodoby would want to watch a show or a movie with no ending, or that does get to the end but then makes no sense whatsoever.
Having said that - im still enjoying impact more than any single WWE show - mabye Smackdown is starting to get close, but not yet.
