I agree with alot of what you have to say, of course trying to have complete consistancy is virtually impossible in wrestling. But you need to have a good chunk of it. Forgetting the odd thing is no problem. The problem is when your having to suspend not just your belief in it being real, but all logic aswell. Wrestling doesnt have to make sense all the time but it needs to try and be true to life as much as it can. Why they didnt just pick Morgan up and then do another move to seal the deal i dont know, it just makes it all abit too unbelivable in my eyes. Look at Swagger - when he won the title off Jericho in the same way - he did his move ontop of the spear Edge had inflicted. Small things like these do effect how people see your show. Just like when a wrestler hits someone and then acts like its hurt his hand - its no big deal, but it just makes it that little bit more true to life, that little bit easier to forget its all staged.
