In other words, Neve Campbell is the smartest person associated with the franchise.
This film is not needed. They were scraping the bottom of the barrel with Scream 3. They are just trying to cash in on the latest horror boom.
If they're smart, they'll shelve Scream 4 and reboot the franchise with a remake. Would be lame, but would draw more attention, make more money, and have more potential than Scream 4.
