Thats the thing Vince hates to admit when he is wrong.  Take the brand split, it hasn't been a success, but rather than drop it he has just blatantly abused it numerous times.  Saying that it does have its positives, the pushes on Smackdown wouldn't happen without it, you'd just have Orton and Triple H killing every show.

To avoid admit defeat it'll be quietly phased out without officially being dropped, there have already been signs in recent weeks anyway.
