It may sound daft, but a lot of the online 'GNR and Axl are faultless, CD is the greatest album ever' stuff actually puts them off them a bit....

I'm just happy to keep in touch via word of mouth from people I know from the old days, D and Evolution normally keep me in the loop.
I had kind of had a break, got bored, then I had a change of heart, got a ticket to go and see them after a drunken moment in a pub when they came on the jukebox, they were awesome, and I'll always check with what they are doing, but the everyday, lets debate every member, every song stuff, I gave up on years ago (that's also why I was one of the highest posters at HTGTH (pardon the pun, if you get it) that only about 10 people knew, I was never in the GN'R sections
