I think masked Kane should make a comeback. I was watching the KOTR '98 First Blood Match with Austin the other day and Kane in his original run seemed like a cool character. Though now that we've seen his face (I know people had seen Glen Jacobs's face before he debuted as Kane but let's pretend Isaac Yanken was someone else... :P), will a masked Kane still have the same effect.

Heel Cena would be awesome, though perhaps he should keep the 5-Knuckle Shuffle and use it to end matches. :D He hits the Attitude Adjustment/FU, then rather than going for the cover, does the 5KS to end it and rub it in.

I could see Shad as a believable heel big man. They wouldn't have to change his character that much, perhaps make him a little bit more.... refined, but it could work.

And it may not be a reinvention as such, but Finlay should go back to his more serious, "I love to fight" character. 8)
