Screwing Bret made Vince hated and a villain which gave birth to the whole Mr McMahon character and his feud with Stone Cold which destroyed WCW.

The Screwjob did nothing for ratings and winning the Wars. It was a year later before WWF went ahead and that was mainly to do with Austin. Bret leaving neither helped or hindered that War.

Yeah ok it made Vince a more credible heel because you could believe he really was that much of a C%*T but to say the screwjob helped win the wars is Wrong. It may of been the end of an Era but the attitude Era didn't start til Mania.

Bret couldn't evolve with the times and got left behind. Bret's contract was up after SS, so yeah he gave his "word" but u can't take that chance,especially considering how down WWE were at the time.

Bret should've done what was right for business. Vince wanted him to lose and he refused to drop the title.Bret forgot it was just a show. He actually thought Canada would disown him if he lost or some bullshit like that.

I agree that Bret struggled with the "New" Style of wrestling. He didn't like what it stood for and made him feel uneasy. He never thought Canada would disown him he just knew that a victory for him would send those people home happy and on his last appearence thats what he wanted.... not a massive ask after 14 years of service.

Brets contarct was only up coz Vince couldn't afford his old 20 year contract (which Bret agreed to out of Loyalty coz Vince begged him not to leave even though WCW offered way more money). Bret agreed out of Loyalty to Vince to go to WCW to help WWF with their finances.

Wrestling is a business where "Word and Honour" mean alot to most people.... obviously not to HBK & Vince

I don't blame Shawn for being a prick backstage. U have to remember, no small guy ever got the chance to be the MAN. so once Shawn got that what was he suppose to do? say "here dude, take my spot and put me back into the midcard"

He has a living to make as well, so I can't blame him for wanting to stay at the top, especially when he is the best on the roster.

Shawn has always been a prick.... but to lie to someones face during maybe their worst moment of their wrestling life is a really shitty thing to do and alot of big names in wrestling agree. The HBK bummers always say "He had to do it for his Career" Bullshit. You control your destiny and if you wanna live life as a C%*T then thats his business but admit it.... don't wait 6 years before saying "Yeah i knew" like a little ****.

We all have to make a living, I could go and rob grannies but i don't coz i'm not a prick. I have respect for others and if i have to do that to get ahead then maybe i'm not the talent i thought i was.
