Here is an idea.

I think Jim and nightrain should start off with the current average score, because otherwise, having missed the 1st game they have essentially ZERO chance of winning.

Its been proven in the past 2 editions, miss a PPV or two and you are quickly out of the running, so I think its fair for late starters to get the current average. (65)

This rule would only apply for those who joined the game late, because otherwise people could use it as a tactical tool, for instance if you are top with one PPV to go, you could forget to put your predictions in and win based on the average score from the event being enough.
