I've got their first five albums, Garage Inc and Death Magnetic. I think there's some good stuff on Garage Inc.: Whiskey In The Jar, Tuesday's Gone, Die Die My Darling, It's Electric, Sabbra Cadabra... all great!

I haven't listened to some of their albums enough to make good judgements about them. I'll have to think about my fav songs. Haven't really listened to any Metallica recently...
