I use to love the Jim Crockett Tag team tournaments they'd have.
That first one was way ahead of its time and Crockett simply flushed all its potential down the toilet. Its unfortunate that NWA was ran by such inept individuals during the peak of its product.

That first Crockett Cup had loads of attention, was very innovative, and was actually the first event that truly got people ready to deal with heel vs heel, face vs face matches.

Placing TA and Garvin against the Road Warriors in the final round was pure genius. No one expected it.
