The problem with TNA is that there is no proper midcard belt. Youve got the womens belts, the heavyweight title for the main eventers, x division for the high-flyers/daredevil/cruiserweight style guys, two tag titles for some reason and a legends belt that by sheer definition means that only a limited number of guys can go after it. So many of the guys on the roster seem to be stuck either trying to fit into the x division, in tag team competition or being pushed into the main event scene without enough credibility because of the lack of a solid midcard belt akin to the IC title in WWE. Get rid of the Japanese tag titles and the legends belt and bring in a solid midcard belt, the 2nd strap of the company, put it on a solid veteran and use it to build the main event status of guys like Hernandez and Morgan and as a device to allow some of the break away stars of current tag teams to build up as a solo stars.
