Good point, although Undertaker is there, one of the few guys who can get a damn good match out of him.

From a rating points of view, a heel Batista vs. Undertaker would be bigger than Undertaker vs. anyone else currently on the show, its not as good creatively as Punk vs. Undertaker, but its ratings that matter.

I doubt thats the annoucement anyway.  I mean how would they work it.  "Hey in my absence my RAW contract expired so I've signed with Smackdown"
