Fox has renewed Fringe for a third season.

The science-fiction series has struggled in the ratings since moving from Tuesdays to Thursdays.

However, Entertainment Weekly reports that Fox has now confirmed that it has picked up another season of the show.

It will return with new episodes on April 1.
