10 kinda reeks of "let's get as many on the card as we can". 6 is a good number, don't know why they went with 8. 10 is just too much. It just means that more guys have to lie down outside the ring and 'take turns' and fighting in the ring/on the ladder....
I understand the logic. With all the other matches on the card, you either get in this spot or in the dark match.
The problem with early
Wrestlemania's is they tried to fit too many matches on resulting in 3-4 minute matches a lot of the time, cards were so stacked.
I suppose the only other theory would be to dilute the
Tag Team match and make it a
Fatal 4 Way, but that wouldn't be as good, build-up or match wise.
