Saving Private Ryan. I've watched it before obviously, but while talking to my mom on the phone the other day, we got on the subject of war films and I was shocked that she hadn't watched this yet. She came over last night so we watched it.

The invasion of Normandy scene is definitely one of the greatest things ever put to film. It's just so realistic. My mom actually started crying during it, probably because she knew my grandpa had fought during that battle.

I also like how the film has a lot of stars but they dive into their roles and it doesn't take away from the realism.
