CM Punk out for 2 months?

Word going around at the WWE SmackDown tapings last night was that CM Punk had surgery on his arm last week. Apparently Punk may be out of action for 4-8 weeks from the surgery. Punk has been working hurt for at least a few weeks.

Punk will appear on this week’s SmackDown with a sling on his arm.

This is bad, but not a total disaster as long as they keep his character around.  Maybe if they unmask the mystery guy, and it does turn out to be Joey Mercury (has that even been confirmed?) he can guide him to glory in a managerial role.
