Lance Cade - R.I.P

http://www.wrestlingnewsarena.com/2010/08/former-wwe-star-lance-cade-passes-away/

- We are very sad to report that Lance McNaught, who was best known as Lance Cade, has passed away. He was only 29 years old. There is very little details at this point regarding his passing.

Cade was part of the original class of students trained by Shawn Michaels & Rudy Boy Gonzales in San Antonio. Cade was brought to the main roster in 2003 to form a team with Mark Jindrak. Cade was eventually sent back to developmental and returned to the main roster later as Trevor Murdoch?s partner.

Cade?s most prominent WWE run was when he worked with Chris Jericho during his feud with Shawn Michaels. In the midst of the run though, Cade took too many pain killers, and went into a seizure on a flight. The plane had to be diverted in order to save his life. WWE later opted to release him from his contract.

WWE did bring back Cade for about a year, but released him without doing anything. Cade claimed in a interview that the company had let him go because he asked for help due to issues he was having stemming from addiction. WWE did send him to rehab, but Cade claimed at the time it was unfair he was released because he reached out for help.

Shocking news.  R.I.P

Thats terrible!

This is how it works, You're young until you're not
You love until you don't, You try until you can't
You laugh until you cry, You cry until you laugh
And everyone must breathe, Until their dying breath

So sad because to me Lance Cade had some skills and with the right gimmick he could have had decent run in the WWE.

It is so sad to see such a young life go this way R.I.P Lance Cade!

R.I.P.

Most who know me realise I've been one of his biggest supporters for years, and he really did have much more to give.

That aside though, the world has lost another guy at a young age, part of the wrestling machine, and 2 little girls have lost their dad, just a damn tragedy!

I may be wrong here, but didn't Test pass away on a Friday the 13th?

Cade had so much to offer this business and its a shame that the downside of the business won out over the joy of it!

Yeah, but it means little, I mean chalk up how many wrestlers have died on other days!

RIP

I liked him when he was teaming with Trevor Murdoch. Unfortunately WWE did that thing where they broke them up for no apparent reason. As a singles star, he didn't seem to get much done but that team was good. Shame to see someone go so young. :(

I liked his involvement in the Jericho/Micheals feud a few years ago.  I think he got fired shortly after for the airplane incident.  Too bad since he would have gotten a nice push.

Former WWE performer Lance McNaught (a/k/a Lance Cade) died on August 13, 2010 from accidentally ingesting multiple drugs combined with the effects of a an enlarged heart, according to an autopsy report from a medical examiner in San Antonio, Texas.

A staffer of the Bexar County, Texas, Medical Examiner?s Office said of McNaught?s death to The New Haven Register in Connecticut: ?The cause was ruled mixed drug intoxication, complicating a cardiomyopathy.? His death was ruled accidental.

The medical examiner?s report does not indicate whether McNaught?s use of anabolic steroids contributed to cardiomyopathy, which has been linked to steroid abuse.

Robert Zimmerman, a spokesman for World Wrestling Entertainment, told the newspaper that WWE obtained e-mails written by McNaught to a fellow wrestler, saying he had ordered two types of steroids in March and expected to fail a drug test.

McNaught was released from WWE in October 2008, then rehired in September 2009. He was sent to drug rehabilitation at his request, but was released a second time in April.
