Alberto Del Rio

Any others fans?

I know he has only had vignettes so far but I think they have done a great job of establishing him as a really good heel.  Hopefully they can capitalise on this when he finally debuts on the show.  I have no idea whether the dude is a good wrestler though, anyone seen him wrestle?  Know if he is decent in the ring?

I enjoyed him when I saw him do dark matches before the 2 Smackdown tapings I went to in Buffalo and Cleveland back in May. I had heard that Dos Caras was a really entertaining wrestler so I decided to look him up on youtube before the show:

I guess he is a huge star but WWE wants to own the name so they changed it to Alberto Del Rio.

Anyone else find this guy to be a giant sleeping pill?

Sure he's decent in the ring, but the gimmick is a total rehash of JBL..only JBL was downright hilarious at times.

I like him (hence why he's in my avatar :P), I think as long as they don't water down his gimmick too much I'll still find him enjoyable. I don't think he'd have the same effect if he just walked to the ring, with no scarf, no pyro, no Spanish introduction etc...

I agree that he's not quite as 'entertaining' as JBL sometimes was, but I think they've made him out to be a credible threat to the World Title in the last few weeks, and I guess you can't really have a heel doing goofy stuff in the build-up to a WM main event.

I like him but I haven't quite been able to connect with his character so far.  He's obviously gonna be a great heel and I hope they do more with him to make him more menacing and more dangerous.  As for the title, I'm sure he will be a very credible champion one day.  Is this his time?  Personally I don't think so and I'd like to see things develop between him, Edge and Christian, ending in a triple threat.  I see Edge retaining at WM.
