WWE Game XVIII Predictions/draft grades
« on: April 13, 2011, 07:50:08 pm »
Here it is, the topic where I always end up looking like a jackass but it is a must thread to have each game as I incorrectly predict the winners and losers.

D: John Cena, Rey Mysterio, Michelle McCool, Mason Ryan ($120,000)
Gnrfan: The Miz, Kane, Jack Swagger, Nikki Bella ($120,000)
Evolution: Alberto Del Rio, Daniel Bryan, Eve, Yoshi Tatsu ($120,000)
nightrain: Randy Orton, Heath Slater, Drew McIntyre, Natalya ($120,000)
Scotta 75: Sheamus, Justin Gabriel, R-Truth, Melina ($120,000)
miss_perfection: Dolph Ziggler, Evan Bourne, Layla, Alex Riley ($120,000)
Yankee1012: Edge, Cody Rhodes, Santino Marella, Mark Henry ($120,000)
Hammy: Wade Barrett, Big Show, Ezekiel Jackson, Johnny Curtis ($120,000)
EricxGNRxSTARx: CM Punk, Triple H, Kelly Kelly, Zach Ryder ($120,000)
BlowUpYourVideo: John Morrison, Kofi Kingston, Ted DiBiase, Beth Phoenix ($120,000)
slashsfro: Christian, Sin Cara, Brodus Clay, Maryse ($120,000)

D:
My own team is hard to grade. I was hoping John Cena would win title at WM. He didn't but let's be honest, Cena is never a bad pick. Mysterio if he stays healthy also always scores well, McCool seems to wrestle a lot and kind of has the multiple show thing going, I need a great debut from Awesome Kong.

Prediction: I should definitely redeem my terrible last game and compete for top 3.  Odds to win 10-1

Gnrfan:
Definitely hit a home run sticking with Miz and Miz retaining title. Kane always does well and Swagger is still one of the better wrestlers on the roster. only bad thing is taking the wrong Bella or he'd be a big time favorite. Still has championship potential as long as Miz keeps belt. odds to win 9-1

Evolution: Great first two with Del Rio who should win world title and Bryan but Eve losing Diva title and Yoshi will definitely kill the production on his team.  Del Rio could get on a Miz type run from a few games ago though. we shall see.  but I'd say middle of the pack team here. odds of winning 19-1 If Del Rio doesn't win title  29-1.

Nightrain: can the guy actually 3peat? Im finished betting against him. Orton has really improved his game scoring lately, Slater must keep and defend tag title, Drew seems like his push is over and Natayla had her run. Depends if those two can get back in the mix. Definitely don't see a 3peat but i never saw a first title. Still though, gotta put these odds at 20-1

Scotta: Came up just short last game, has really found his stride. Sheamus should score a crap load of points, Like the above, needs some tag title defenses and has to get some type of scoring from Melina. RTruth getting another push looks great for his team: Odds of winning :11-1

Miss Pefection: Interesting team, Dolph should be a nice scorer, Bourne seems destined for something any game but hasn't been able to escape the injury bug, Layla will feud with McCool which i don't think bolds well for her and who knows if Alex Riley will ever get that push. Def a long shot imo. 40-1

Yankee: Yankee has become the new Malcolm of this game. Malcolm won a title, looked like the new big gun of the game but then inexplicably started finishing at the bottom with wooden spoons. Huge loss with Edge. Pretty much guarantees him the Wooden Spoon in my opinion.  Odds of winning 100-1. only way to avoid it is to get some type of debut and have Cody really break out and win a title of some kind.

Hammy: What a  team once again he has put together. Wade Barrett and Big Show will score big, Ezekiel is a breakout star waiting to happen. Never know they may throw tag titles back on Big Show or something or with edge out, Show could always get that one last title run.  Johnny Curtis needs to debut soon though. If Curtis does or Hammy lands a scoring free agent, he easily could win this game. right now though, based on having a 3 man team, gonna pick him to win some type of title but odds for world are at 9.5-1

EricGnrStar  Depends really on how active HHH is. he is also a second pick, so if he disappears or goes into promo mode, he isn't gonna score much. CM should get plenty of points to ensure Eric doesn't get near wooden spoon, Kelly seems to score ok and Ryder needs some type of push. but unless HHH is super active, just can't see a title team here: Odds 31-1

Blowup: definitely has put together a very good scoring team potentially. Jomo and Kofi will keep him in the top half of the game, He has to have Beth do better for him than she did me last game. she is showing signs of life finally, not craz ybout Dibiase but maybe he can get a debut. like his team though, 19-1 odds.

Slashfro: can't see Christian winning title, see Del Rio getting it, would loveto see Christian rewarded. if he does win, Slashfro has a nice team, if he doesn't, then it isn't anything special. Cara should do very good but don't see much from Brodus or Maryse but u never now, Maryse could step back into title picture. odds 25-1

I need a great debut from Awesome Kong.
She's injury prone.  Ex-TNA.  Even pushed Divas miss half the PPVs.  And for her, all your cash (anyone on your team gets injured in the next 4.5 mths you are screwed) and some points, you are losing the returning Mason Ryan who (with a little help, but he was the main attacker) demolished main eventer, Randy Orton.  Trigger happy madness  :P

Unless they get a Freebird thing going on....

2 World Titles.  1 IC Title and a record 3 Wooden Spoons.  He really was all or nothing.

Blowup: He has Beth....
...Not for long  8)

Prediction: Hammy

Why: Because I'm Bizarre!!!

D has predicted me to do well, nooo! :P

Actually, this apparent 'backstage heat' on Morrison is a bit worrying, but then again, I remember CM Punk and his 'backstage heat' which ended with him winning the World Heavyweight Championship. :D 8)

Oh great. D has me as the winner.

We all know how great at predictions he is. Go look at the powerslam predictions game.

Better get ready for the wooden spoon :crying:

You love until you don't, You try until you can't
You laugh until you cry, You cry until you laugh

WWE are so pissed they'd rather give R-Truth a title shot.  Be afraid, be very afraid.  :P

Nah, punishing Morrison for one PPV will be enough and then he will be back to business as usual.

I really don't blame Morrison too much to be honest. I always thought it was kinda crappy how these former stars come back and steal someone who has been working their ass offs' spot and paycheck
