Legends or X belt?

I will admit I am not the biggest fan but I try to catch TNA when I can and have notice its appearing that maybe tna is pushing the legends title higher then the X belt.  The X belt is their bread and butter.  They had something the competition couldn't match. With the last ppv and no X belt and yet 2 tag matches for belts really knocked the belt down.  From what I seen I thought of the x belt like an old european or us belt. But now they are pushing a ftw or million dollar type of belt up the ranks as a second main event belt made for champions.  This in return seeing the x belt on tv occationally makes the belt like the wcw tv belt circa 2000.  What's everyone else thing about the current state of the x belt and legends?

The Legends title is an attempt at a serious IC belt - something to be defended on Impact while the TNA title is saved for PPV's

The X division has suffered because they have lost a good half dozen of the best talent - some like A J Styles have been promoted up, others have been released - they dont have many people left

Unfortunately the general public dont care about small guys hurtling around the ring - i'm sure TNA wants to push its X Division but it cant ignore ratings - its not beig enough too

Remove the veterans who couldn't handle the pace and the X-Division Title works as a #2 belt.

Samoa Joe and Kurt Angle have both had it and Hernandez certainly takes the dives crazy enough to represent it as do many of the **** guys in the promotion, from what I remember its not weight limits, its no limits, I still see the Legends strap as a storyline belt that will die out when the MEM do.

With all the main event old wcw and wwe guys I think its a belt to give to those guys so they can be a champion and benefitstheir ego more then the company,s future.  I still want to see the x belt promoted on ppvs before the legends belt.

I've said it before but i think the Legends belt is an "Appeasing" Title for the "Big Names" so that they have a title to throw over their shoulders. When a young and promising guy gets a decent (3 month minimum) reign, then maybe it can be compared to the IC Title. As it stands with guys like Booker T, Nash, AJ & Foley its basically a 2nd tier world title for the "Big Names" to pass around amongst themselves.

Its certainly a huge blow to TNA and to the title that Mick Foley just wont seem to go away

Giving him the belt is a classic WCW case of keeping the Millionaires club happy

That belt needs to go to Morgan - it needs to be used as a 'test' for wrestlers, so see if they are ready for the main event

The X belt is not a secondary belt because it will never be pursued by the Heavyweight title guys - there is no title above it, it caters to two different rosters

You are correct that belt needs to be on Morgan or Roode if they made him a singles guy.

The problem is its name.... "Legends Title" just causes problems.

I still like the idea of a title that World Champions are exempt from. Call it Shooting Star title or something like that and as all World champions can't get it it gives other guys the perfect opportunity to have a decent feud around the title.

With WWE or anywhere, secondary titles need to mean something once again.

IC Title should make u the number 1 contender for the world title, it should be fort he absolute best upper mid card guy in the business.

Now days, it really isn't used that way.
