Rhino / Rhyno

I've been watching some old ECW today and my god this guy was brilliant. I honestly think he got a little unlucky. ECW shut down right as he had just won the ECW title and held the TV title at that time and was looking unbeatable. Pildriving people from the top rope and off the apron through Table.... not to mention his "Gore" which was amazing. He was just an animal.

If ECW could have carried on a couple more years then he would have come to WWE with the same repuatation and standing as RVD and other top names.

When he came to WWE, i think they completely ruined him. They made him the lowest member of the stable with E&C and Kurt Angle (Team RECK i think). He was given the **** belt (but at the time it was up for grabs all the time you just needed a ref) so no really stella feuds came about then despite guys like Jericho, Jeff Hardy, Mike Awesome, RVD & Raven holding it around the same time (such a shame).

Its a shame because despite his less than perfect mic skills he was alright and he should have been marketed as a insane monster heel (not in size but attitude) because of all the people that WWE didn't get the best out of i think he could have been massive (he's still only 33). I think Rhino had every bit of potential that RVD, The Dudleys & Taz had to offer but WWE just didn't see it.

I think by many he is overated.  He fits well in a **** Division and can have some solid matches, but he is a poor talker and I'd say he just doesn't have "It", heck even TNA has run out of ideas for what to do with him, he could have been used better but was never good enough to get past midcard in a MAJOR promotion.

I disagree with the last part. I don't see him as a champion really but a bloody tough competitor. On the ECW brand he could be champion with a mouthpiece. He was hampered majorly by having to dull down his moves and the non-Extreme rules environment.

He had his time like many, the ECW brand for the most part is about building the future and fresh faces.

Given a mouthpiece he could have a solid run, but there is a huge list of guys who come under that category, he doesn't bring anything extra special to the table to seperate himself from others, at least not in an World Wrestling Entertainment context, jumping piledrivers off the middle rope in any MAJOR promotions these days are doubtful.

I agree with alot of Gnrfan's points, but at the same time I agree that he's not main event worthy in a major promotion. He would make an excellent replacement/addition to WWE's ECW however, feuding with Christian and Dreamer over the ECW.

I always thought in ecw he was about almost asgood as taz in the ring with no mic skills. Liked the guy but hed never be wwe world champion (without vince russo)
