Not a WEC follower so I can't comment on those two but I don't remember Condit vs. Kampmann being that amazing. The other two I do agree with, this list just goes to show how unmissable the Fight Nights are.
Here are my choices:
5. Shogun vs. Mark Coleman (UFC 93): Spectacularly bad yet entertaining nonetheless.
4. Jon Jones vs. Stephan Bonnar (UFC 94): This was my first time seeing Jones fight and as a wrestling fan it was a joy to watch so many great suplexes and also some flamboyant kicks and punches as Jones totally dominated TUF1 runnner-up.
3. DaMarques Johnson vs. James Wilks (The Ultimate Fighter 9 Finale): Maybe I'm biased because I'm a Brit, maybe it was the shock fighter, but I thought this was highly entertaining stuff and one of the best 1st Round battles you are going to get. You got the impression of TUF Wilks would have to rely on his submissions and everyone said he had got lucky by facing Frank Lester twice. Most people (myself included) thought Wilks would get slaughtered. From the start thought Wilks dominated with some fantastic stand up and on the ground he smoothly moved from one submission attempt to another, when Johnson did mount an attack he rode it out with ease. With 3 Fight of the Nights bonuses handed out I was surprised this wasn't included, maybe it just didn't go long enough, I loved it thought and after this people are starting to think Wilks actually has a load of potential now, if he can bring it like he did in this fight.
2. Josh Neer vs. Mac Danzig (UFC Fight Night 17): This was a great back and forth battle and Neer surprised everyone with his dominance, fights like this are instant classics because they provide the viewer with relentless back and forth action and you are not only blow away but you also have no idea who is going to win.
1. Diego Sanchez vs. Clay Guida (The Ultimate Fighter 9 Finale): Guida's reputation improved again even in defeat, proving himself to be a even more durable fighter than anyone had previously believed, he withstood early punches, a killer head kick and some nasty elbows and come the end of the fight he was still bouncing and ready to go again.
So what are your choices?
