John Cena is the fifth longest reigning WWE Champion in history as he held the belt for 836 days. The four wrestling legends he trails are as follows: Bruno Sammartino (4,040), Hulk Hogan (2,185), Bob Backlund (2,138) and Pedro Morales (1,027). (source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter)

The top 3 will never be beaten (different time), but i reckon Cena might get to the 1000 mark before his career is done. Amazing really considering many hate him.

Personally i've got alot of respect for Cena. He's not in the top tier with guys like Austin, Andre, Flair, Hogan, Bret, Rock, Taker etc but he has got to be in the 2nd tier, simply foir his work rate and unique crowd reaction he gets.
