best match in wrestling since hbk v taker at WM25
That match wouldn't have been as special if they'd fought 2-3 times in the run up though...

It's all about the ideas u have

WWE allowed HBK and Taker about 6 moves each - repeats would be dull, and the match at WM26 wasn't as good because it was a carbon copy

AJ and RVD are great innovators - each match will give us something new, new spots, unusual moves - a practice match may be the best thing for this feud

think back to aj v angle in 2008, many matches - each one was different and they were all great

Ultimately this whole debate is daft - people are moaning that they got a great ep if impact?!

The point being people felt an epic first time only match was blown merely for a great episode of impact (which it was).

We'll agree to disagree, what they need to work on now is to create new stars and have new dream matches people want.

once again izzy is 1million percent correct

comparing this to Goldberg Hogan is ridiculous cause WCW were pulling 3.5 to 4.0's and selling 200-300 thousand ppvs.

Impact are not even getting a 1. so yeah, they can wait and put Styles,RVD on PPV and sell 20k

OR they can build a buzz, get their rating up and the higher the rating the more PPV buyers u recruit

TNA would do better having 4 PPVs a year. They jumped too far ahead having 12.

ill be objective however

the AJ new Flair and the Abyss new Hogan **** has GOT TO **** GO

i agree 100 percent with Ric Flair on how disrespectful and shitty Abyss having a HOF ring is. Abyss is plain **** retarded and i get embarrassed watching him.

AJ i can handle more than the Abyss thing.

Real guy who should be getting a title shot is Matt Morgan. probably the best thing about TNA to be honest.

The point is - even if you take the PPV's out of the picture - you dont build ratings by blowing your best fueds/matches in one unnanounced night. You build those fueds over a period of time, attracting more people to the show. Then, when you decide to get to the pinnacle of the fued you make sure every wrestling fan in the world knows its going to happen and has a chance to watch. The RVD/AJ/ and RVD/Hardy matches will still be good, but its never as good as seeing it the first time around. It looses some of the buzz around the match-up.

As they have done it, this weeks TNA scored a 0.5 - so its done worse in the ratings rather than get any new viewers to the product.

TNA made the decision to put the World Title on Rob Van Dam on the April 19th iMPACT after the 0.6 rating came out from the week before. The feeling was that what the were doing wasn’t working and they needed to try something different and do a title change.

So they did it because of a poor rating hoping to increase interest and viewers and followed it with it's worst monday night rating since they made the switch.

At last a sensible thought out comment! A real TNA breed star in the making. Can't believe its not happening.

Mystified why Roode isn't playing the AJ role, why Morgan isn't the new Brock Lesnar and why we seem to have ideas Russo and Bischoff seem to miss

Agreed as well.... Flair moulding Roode.... Just Makes Sense. I like Storm, Shelley and Sabin too (not necesserlly as World Title holders)

Roode and Morgan have massive futures... along with Joe and AJ they could be TNA's way into making this a war.
