The 2010 Draft Thread
« on: March 28, 2010, 03:39:23 pm »
The Draft is rumoured to be a 3 hour RAW on the 26th April 2010:

Just thought it would be worth starting this up to get people throwing ideas around fo who should or will be moving brand in about a month.

Here are some changes i think might happen:

Orton to Smackdown
Cody Rhodes to Smackdown
Kofi Kingston to Smackdown
Morrison to RAW
Drew McIntyre to RAW

Personally i'd like to see CM Punk on Raw and go up against Cena in long feud, but i can't see that happening.

I'm also interested to see what they do with Ziggler, personally i think he has bags of potential and deserves some sort of midcard title run but seems to have stalled with lots of other guys now in similar positions.

So what does everyone think?

Evan Bourne needs to go to Smackdown, he'd actually get decent match time on that brand.

Oh this draft thing is just painful

The brand split ended years ago - its a bit like some poor brain dead kid kept on life support for decades, please - just let this die

Whatever happens they'll be on Raw again in a week

Prediction wise - Orton to Smackdown is the one I'd bank on

I think this will be another 'raid smackdown for all its worth' draft (not that there are many big names left there)

I'm hoping Smackdown is left with the good young guys - so bring Kingston over

I know ECW was always a Joke, but now the draft even seems more pointless.
Raw gets 1 guy from SD
SD gets one guy from Raw.

Seems like a **** on you effort.
Some bloat taking Edge from SD to Raw or some other **** move.

With Wrestlers on SUperstars facing off each week and RAW and SD stars showing up on each other show to promote a PPV and Mixed matches on PPVs. and Also Pros on NXT wrestling each other, Seriously Is there ANY Matchup of Midcarders or Higher that we havnt seen matched up at one point.

Source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter

- There has been less talk and sure changes this year for the WWE Draft than any year in the past. Nobody seems to know what’s planned but that’s normal as even the top guys aren’t told if they’re being moved until shortly before the Draft.

Batista is said to be a candidate to be moved, depending on his contract talks with WWE. Randy Orton or John Cena is also expected to be sent to SmackDown but neither of these moves are confirmed. Edge or Chris Jericho is expected to be sent to RAW, especially since their feud seems to be coming to an end this Sunday at Extreme Rules.

1. Kelly Kelly was drafted to SmackDown (via Michelle McCool and Layla's victory over Eve and Maryse).

I have been expecting Kelly Kelly to move up the roster for sometime (she's definatly one of the hottest) It will be interesting to see what happens with her. Maybe joining Beth to feud with LayCool & Vickie.

2. Big Show was drafted to SmackDown (via CM Punk's victory over Evan Bourne).

Not many big names on SD now and Big Show is certainly that.

3. John Morrison was drafted to Raw (via Raw's Battle Royal victory).

With HBK gone, i figure thats now John Morrisons role now. An extended Miz vs Morrison program could be great, but i think you might see JoMo go feud with people like Sheamus, Edge & Jericho.

4. R-Truth was drafted to Raw (via Raw's Battle Royal victory).

He'll never break out of the midcard but he is super over and i guess a feud with Dibiase or Miz for the US title could be something they are looking at. Also i guess he is kinda backup for Morrison.

5. Edge was drafted to Raw (via Raw's Battle Royal victory).

I always felt that two of Jericho, Punk & Edge would end up on RAW, but i'm glad that Edge has come to RAW. Edge is much better as a heel and a Edge vs Orton feud could be great.

6. Kofi Kingston was drafted to SmackDown (via Chris Jericho's victory over Christian).

Kofi has been doing nothing for a while now so it makes sense that he goes to SD and gets fresh feuds. SD has alot of people Kofi could feud with including McIntrye, Ziggler and even Swagger!

7. Christian was drafted to SmackDown (via Jack Swagger's victory over John Morrison).

Great news for Christian fans as i think he will be one of the higher ups on SD. A great pro who can certainly help all these young guns get over.

8. Chris Jericho was drafted to Raw (via Hornswoggle's victory over Dolph Ziggler).

Best Heel in WWE deserves to be on the No1 show and now he is!

Smackdown won this supplemental draft.

They got some good mid-card talent in Cody Rhodes, MVP, Chris Masters and Chavo Guerrero. Also Hart Dynasty can be on Smackdown too since they have the titles.

Hopefully Cody gets a slow push as a mid-carder and eventually wins the IC title. I think Cody will be a face on Smackdown, but who knows. MVP is going to be a lot better on Smackdown like he was before moving to RAW.
