KURT ANGLE has returned home from TNA's European Tour to be by his fiancee's hospital bedside, after she gave birth a month early.
The Olympic Gold Medallist is now back in the States with Giovanna Yannotti, where he met new daughter Giuliana Marie Angle for the first time.
Kurt Tweeted: "To my fans, especially in Europe. Sorry I had to pull from the tour. Giovanna, my fiancee, had complications with her labour.
"I came home to be with her and my beautiful new daughter Giuliana, who is doing fantastic. I will be staying at the hospital until Giovanna is able to leave.
"A big thank you to Dixie Carter and TNA for allowing me to come home to be with my family."
Mike Aldren broke both the happy and sad news in his Wrestling Globe Newsletter.
He wrote: "Angle, while performing in Lyon, France, was hit with a terrifying phone call that his fiancee was rushed into hospital with extreme blood pressure which caused her to pass out.
"Yannotti was due to give birth to the couple's first child in mid February. Due to her medical condition, and concern for the baby, doctors decided that it was imperative to induce labour.
"Yannotti gave birth to Giuliana Marie Angle at 5? pounds and 18 inches long. Baby is said to be doing well although many weeks premature.
"Yannotti is presently listed in intensive care and doctors will perform procedures today to attempt to bring her blood pressure into a controlled range."
