I think The Nexus need the win here to keep them strong and credible, maybe via interference from the "higher power" or person behind the "bigger picture".  Against such a star studded line-up do they have a chance?  We all know how protective WWE can be when it comes to having their established stars lay down.  Nexus to many are still a bunch of faithless nobodies.  The difference when the nWo ran roughshod over WCW was to most fans it was friggin, Diesel, Razor Ramon and Hulk Hogan, established, way over headliners.  Outside of Wade Barrett, on their own, is a single member of Nexus over?

This is going to sound crazy but I can see season 2 NXT wrestlers joining with NEXUS to make this group bigger and stronger, and I see it coming soon. I think if the WWE is smart they will run with this angle for awhile because this can make a lot of superstars about this angle if they do it right.

I'm assuming that the IC, Tag and US Title will be on the line at SS?

My question is... whats the matches gonna be?

Kofi vs Ziggler vs Cody Rhodes for the IC

Miz vs Ted Dibiase or Evan Bourne for the US maybe

But surely they wont go with Usos again to face the Hart Dynasty? Maybe Punk and Gallows?

This is the least excited I have been for a major PPV in a long time, well one of the "Big Four" anyway.

I'm really looking forward to the 7 vs 7 match, I've been enjoying the whole angle, love the fact its elimination style now, be interesting to see how it plays out.

I think the WWE Title match should be decent, very little interest in the World Title one though, no interest in the Divas one either.  As for SES vs Big Show, I KNOW Punk will make it entertaining but I can't say I'm much of a fan of 3 vs 1 matches.

Even though all the singles champions in WWE right now are heels (well, except Kane. What exactly is he just now?....) I don't see any titles changing hands tonight. I think Sheamus needs to hold on to the title a little bit longer to be seen as a credible champion and am kinda hoping that WWE thinks that too. Kane only won the World Title last month and I really can't see them having Rey pin him, unless Taker comes out and attacks Kane or something. But I think UT will return a bit later than now.

The 7 on 7 match should be good, especially seeing as it's an elimination match. The only thing is, I hope they don't do what they did with that 7 on 7 they had on Raw a few weeks ago, and have guys get pinned after taking fairly standard moves. "Tarver just got hit with the Five Knuckle Shuffle... and he's gone!" :lol2:

He's a heel, I thought that was obvious.

It's just that he was getting cheered quite a bit during his 'crusade' to find out how attacked UT. Plus, the announcer's haven't seemed too disgusted with him, which left me a bit confused. :P

That was a half decent PPV for me.  The Big Show vs SES wasn't that great but the rest was pretty good.  Have to feel sorry for Kofi and Ziggler though.  Getting interrupted as they did really didn't give them the chance to shine and put us on a great match.  I thought the 7 on 7 was great entertainment and a nice little surprise (but ultimately expected?) with the return of matey boy.

I'm not a fan of WWE...

But summerslam was good enough waste of 3 hours (if not good enough to be a ppv)

Everything was so very predictable...but in a way that made me smile

Taker in the coffin? Who didn't see that coming?

While it was enjoyable it was the worst booked thing I've ever seen

SES humiliated

Nexus humiliated

Matches interupted at a ppv

Dq finish to a title match

sometimes I wonder if some writer is trying to get fired...

Build new stars or face disaster...maybe it's much too late

3 decent matches....

1 spoiled by a no contest finish, one spoiled by a DQ finish and one spoiled by the wrong smurfin' team winning.

Definately not the best Summerslam.

I liked the main event and Ziggler/Kingston was going well until Nexus ran in, but other than that, it was kinda average.

However, I don't think Nexus were "humiliated". They eliminated six of the seven WWE guys and Barrett tapped out to one of the biggest stars in the company. Had they done a clean sweep like Team DX did a few years back though.... :P
