Who wins it?

So far John Morrison, Sheamus, Ezekiel Jackson and Daniel Bryan have qualified.

On Smackdown, Big Show, Alberto Del Rio, Rey Mysterio, Kofi Kingston, Jack Swagger, MVP, Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre face off in qualifiers.

I've got to pick Alberto Del Rio.  It's generally a heels event to win, and it needs to be someone on the rise who hasn't been a World Champion (Swagger, Sheamus, Show, Mysterio).  Aside from Survivor Series, momentum wise Del Rio is on a role and the boasting he would do after, it would be great for his gimmick, plus it gives him a chance to get revenge on Rey and Show.

I think Del Rio is favourite but there are some strong cases:

Zeke could use it big time to take him from Imposing Threat to believable contender.

McIntyre needs it to get his promising start back on track.

Kofi, Rhodes & JoMo also have to be contenders!

King Sheamus vs. the King of Kings :P.

I don't think it should be Del Rio, I don't think he's shown yet, that he's future long term top star.

Danileson would be brilliant, but I pick him to runner up in the final.

Kingston and Morrison contenders if you like at it's history in Kayfable :P.

Too late for MVP and Rhodes isn;t believable.

Well they did it with King Booker and Triple H....

Honestly.  Only Del Rio makes sense to me.  Maybe Swagger and Sheamus as outside picks, but the others....

Zeke is a dumb hoss getting a limited push that will soon vanish.  Drew's momentum has gone.  They've shown with recent booking they don't take Cody Rhodes seriously.  Triple K, King Kofi Kingston, Rey Mysterio, John Morrison, Big Show etc.  Would all be bad, feel good babyface moments, no, heels king of the rings, yes.

For ovious reasons I am pulling for Del Rio, He has the attitude and the blood line I think he would be the best man to possibily work the gimmick for the most possible. Sheamus in a robe? Daniel bryant doesn't deserve it with his nerd look, morrison has had his time in the past, zeke, why he is the type of guy to get cheated out in the first round by del rio.

The next King of the Ring is Alberto Del Rio! But you, you already know that. 8)

I'm with Hammy, I'm a fan of ADR and winning KOTR would fit well with his gimmick. Guys like Morrison, Show, Kingston, Mysterio and MVP are almost guaranteed no's I think. Wouldn't mind seeing Bryan or Zeke win and maybe McIntyre (for obvious reasons :P) but I'm pulling for Del Rio.

I was shocked, but happily so that Mysterio and Show are out of it already.  I just have this horrible feeling Mysterio may cost Del Rio the chance to win it, if he does, I hope its so a "Dashing" one can win....

Morrison vs Sheamus.... wow, SHOCKER!... as soon as raw started and showed us who was fighting who it was pretty obvious who would be in the finals just from the positions Morrison (3rd spot) and Sheamus (8th spot) were in..

Still think Del Rio should have got it, I still believe Sheamus doesn't need it, but clear its been used to set up his feud with Triple H, King of Kings...
