Minor Update on Shawn Michael's return.
« on: July 15, 2009, 10:21:49 pm »
While some pro wrestling fans have expressed a desire to see a heel Shawn Michaels in 2009, that is not the plan--Michaels will soon return, as most expected, on the babyface side of the equation.

According to PWInsider.com, Michaels is still due back by Summerslam. It is believed that HBK will be working DX reunion matches with Triple H on the road this fall, although it has not been confirmed that WWE will bring the DX team back to television.

With Armageddon reportedly scheduled for San Antonio this December, there has already been talk of hometown Superstar Shawn Michaels challenging for the belt at said event.

Would love to see either a final decent World Championship Title run, or a heel turn before Shawn retires.

About two years back I read Shawn had signed a massive 7 year deal with the company, for a huge amount of money, now I don't know how much truth there is to this, but I would still take the 'HBK retiring at Mania XXVI' with a grain of salt. To add to this, J.R. recently stated in his blog that he talked to him recently and he claims he didn't mention anything about retiring.

Thoughts?

I'd like a heel run, one last title run and for him to retire in the next 2 years.

He is my all time favourite and is better than most of the roster but I want him to go out on a high, I want him to retire leaving fans wanting more rather than going out like Flair who despite the great send off had out lived his welcome by many many years.

In the next few years I'd like him to have some full length programs with guys like Punk, Morrison, Jeff Hardy.  Heck he needs to move brands  ;D

I dont see a heel run in his future. He reportedly did not like his short heel run against Hogan awhile back and says it doesnt feel right for him. He wants to remain a face. Which I am ok with. But seeing a heel HBK again would be really kool.

I would like to see him work long programs with Punk, Edge, either or both hardy's, Christian, Undertaker(even though they had that great match that will prolly never be lived up to again at wresltemania this year, i would still like to see them work a long feud again), if their gonna bring back dx(which i am kind for and kinda against), i think a feud against the new heart foundation would kool. And finally if the youth movement really is in full swing I would like to see him put some news guys over before he retires.  Maybe a program with Dolph, or maybe swagger, or some other guys that havent even debuted yet could really help the wwe for the long run.  :smoking:
