Undertaker retired?
« on: May 08, 2011, 11:56:16 am »
While it?s not official yet, the internal thought within WWE is that The Undertaker is basically retired, which explains Michelle McCool leaving to spend more time with him at home.

The Observer reports that The Undertaker is in far worse physical shape than is being let on. WWE officials aren?t ruling Taker out for WrestleMania 28 in 11 months but don?t expect him to work another match before then. People close to Taker have talked to him about retiring at WrestleMania 28 with his streak at 20-0.

Yeah i can see Taker just being around for the "Road To Wrestlemania" for two more years.

Get to 20-0 and then have his final match at Mania. He'll decide who and the result. But what an event that would be.

It would be a shame if he wasn't able to make it to 20-0. I wonder if he'd announce beforehand that it would be his last match? You know, tell us that he is retiring but he has one last big match left in him, can anyone finally beat him at WM, that sort of thing....

I'm sure he'll get another match or so.  As good as it was I don't want him vs. Triple H again.  Cena is busy next year anyway, who would be good, who would be consider a threat to it?

I think Taker will choose his WM opponents from now on. I remember in one interview he said if anyone would beat him it should be Kane... but not sure about that these days.

Cena vs Taker at Mania has massive match appeal and could well be his final Mania match. All the other current big names have had their shot!

Possibility of HBK/Taker III will always be talked about. They seem to be in massive name territory these days with Taker at Mania, which will probably rule out the likes of Barrett, Ziggler, Del Rio and Miz for next years Mania.

I hope they don't try an Orton or HHH match again. New challengers is the answer i say. Taker could make a career every Mania from this point on, even with Taker winning. The younger guys must be dreaming of that kind of match!

i don't think he is retired. I think he was injured going into WM and worked hurt just to do the streak and is now properly healing. He will be back by Survivor Series. maybe he and Michelle are gonna start a family?
