Christian.... On Smackdown
« on: April 30, 2010, 06:32:04 pm »
I believe that when Christian heard he was going to SD, he probally jumped for joy. He is Mr. 7 out of 10 on TV (in terms of matches) and i believe he can up his game when needed. He also needs some real promo power to SD.

But is he there to put guys like Swagger, McIntyre, Punk, Ziggler and Rhodes over? or is he there to get his much deserved World Title in WWE. I honestly believe he'll only ever get the one (two at most) reign and looking at the locker room he has to be in the top 4 faces along with Undertaker, Show (i guess he's face now) & Rey. But in reality Taker is struggling, Big Show is too big to work alot and Rey knees are screwed.... So whether its right away or in two months, he'll be feuding at the top of the program!

So is Christian a stepping stone or finally primed for his 1st World Title?

I hope he gets a title shot. Was funny seeing this weeks Smackdown when edge asked him how many titles he'd won - was half expecting him to say two! He's quality in the ring, quality on the mic - really deserves to get the gold in my book and is definatly a credible champion. Am i the only one who wonders why he looks so yellow?

There are few World Title wins that i would "Mark" for but i think Christian is definatly one of them. I just wonder if they are waiting for him to beat Edge for the title

They'll be waiting awhile since they put them on seperate brands again, maybe this week was the teaser for it though and the long term plan is to do it at Wrestlemania 27

Maybe. I just think that would have a classic build up. But it would be made even more brilliant if Christian had never won the World Title before.

According to PWInsider.com, Smackdown superstar Christian has suffered a torn pectoral muscle and is expected to be out of action for six months following surgery.

WWE will write Christian out of TV storylines this week on Smackdown during an angle with Alberto Del Rio.

WWE Smackdown wrestler MVP wished Christian a speedy recovery from surgery. On his Twitter page, MVP wrote, "VIP's let's wish @Christian4Peeps a successful surgery & a speedy recovery! The good guys need him back quickly! But his cats are happy!

That sucks, he is easily one of the best and most consistent in-ring performers.

Still Massive scope for a Christian vs Edge feud at some point. Would be amazing if its over a title.

Former WWE creative team member John Piermarini has started his blog (http://wrestlingrecall.blogspot.com/) in which he has released a ton of scoops regarding things that occured in the company during the two years he was employed. The blog has since been pulled (the Website does say it will be back soon) but we have managed to retain some of the things Piermarini said. Here is what he wrote about popular WWE star Christian and the company?s internal view of him:

?As much as it seems Christian turns into the fan favorite choice to win Money in the Bank Match each year it?s not going to happen. Christian is seen as a good hand that can help some of the younger talent and does not have a lot of support from higher ups to be a Main Event guy. Edge vs. Christian as a Main Event program has been pitched to death and rejected every time.?

?Before Christian was injured a story was being developed to turn Christian heel and work a program with Matt Hardy. The seeds were being dropped on Smackdown at the time Christian was injured.?
