Wreslemania must be the big enchilada, and nothing comes close to it. Try and make it a huge event again. Have tons of celebs going to the event. Pay them if you have to. Hold the event in one of the major stadiums, and "paper the event(free tickets) if you have to just to fill the place up.

Turn Survivor Series back into what it used to be. A Thanksgiving tradition based on tag team elimination matches. **** title matches. Thats not what this series was about. I would also consider dropping this and bringing back Starrcade as the Thanksgiving event

They already market Wrestlemania like that and its one of the few things I think they do correctly.  I actually don't really like all the traditional tag team elimination matches.  However, I think adding the Iron Man Match or Gauntlet match isn't a bad idea.  Oh yeah, Vince would never let a WCW named event be one of his big money PPV.  I think if they really wanted some major buyrates they would make the elimination chamber the main centerpiece of one of the main PPV.  It's getting wasted on an in between PPV like NWO.

One of the main issues is that after a major ppv there is always a rematch at the next ppv and sometimes the rematch is better than the major ppv match.  It gives the public very little incentive to buy a major ppv when the rematch could just be better.  I just don't think the feuds mean as much when these guys are having matches all the time.  We've seen variations of HHH/Cena/Orton for the past six months and it gets tiring after a while.

Problem is it doesn't make sense money wise to drop the shows.

As Slashfro said Wrestlemania IS billed as the event and they do drag the celebs in for it.  The problem is the other traditional events sometimes get lost in the mix.

I'd never do away with Survivor Series and I agree, the whole event sans maybe one match should be in the elimination format.

King of the Ring has been used as a television event, twice since it stopped being a PPV, once over a few weeks on Smackdown and once as a 3 Hour Raw Special, the Smackdown one worked well, the other not so, I do like the idea of using 3 brands for it, I've been calling for that for ages.

Summerslam from what I gathered from old events was often about finishing off the feud from Wrestlemania before they'd move forward later in the year for the next Mania feuds.

This is the main reason they have to scale back the PPVs. Hell, I bet they'd make more money from four than they would ten.

I also think the bullshit promos/skits need to be scaled way back. Concentrate more on actual wrestling and have the middle of the roster fuel each TV program. Have a few taped promos of the main eventers like in the old days and have em appear on the TV shows once a month.

There's no true incentive for people to buy this stuff monthly because its constantly in your face.

That should have morphed into something else 3 or 4 months ago.

They're lazy because they have no legit competition. If NWA/WCW still existed in a viable form, no way in hell would you be force fed that tripe for half a year.

One other thing....

This era of spoilers needs to go bye bye. People don't need to know weeks/months in advance what the storylines are and who is gonna win the matches. Its amazing that even one person pays 50 bucks to see matches where they knew the outcome weeks earlier, let alone thousands.

Eliminate the spoilers, it creates even more incentive to watch.

Letting the crowd in on the joke in the late 90s may have fueled the Attitude era, but it was a huge mistake in the long term.
