Jamie Noble Retires From The Ring!

JAMIE NOBLE has retired from the wrestling business.

The 32-year-old former WWE cruiserweight champion — who also competed in WCW and Ring Honor — ended his 14-year career this morning.

In a posting on the company's website they made reference to his final storyline — which saw Sheamus put him in hospital.

The message reads: "We have been contacted by Jamie Noble, who revealed his decision to conclude a seven-year career as a WWE Superstar and retire from the squared circle.

"This regrettable announcement came hours after Noble was released from the medical facility where he sought treatment for injuries sustained at the hands of Sheamus one week ago on Raw and after years of nagging shoulder and neck injuries.

"WWE wishes Jamie Noble all the best in his recovery and his career outside the ring."

Noble — real name James Howard — added: "I'm laying here thinking about how great my life is with my wife and my son.

"I'm thinking, how many more times am I gonna be lucky enough to walk out of the hospital on my own? I'm thinking it might be time to hang up my tights and boots."

I'm wondering if he decided to retire so they thought they'd have him put someone over in his last match, it'll be a shame if he has.  I know he has been working as a trainer for a while for them, but with his in-ring talents, he'd be a great addition to say the TNA X-Division.

I wonder if this is for real and if it is, is he going to continue with the company as a trainer/agent?

I'd assume so, by all accounts he gets paid more for that than he would as an active wrestler in any other company.

Why WWE insists on wasting time on jobbers, they don't put people over, even the kids see through it

On WWE.com Jamie Noble has been taken off the Raw Superstars page and is now under the Alumni page. His Bio also now says this:

"..Unfortunately for the gutsy grappler, nagging shoulder and neck injuries caused him to retire in November of the following year."

The idea to have Sheamus powerbomb Jamie Noble on the floor at RAW two weeks ago came when WWE writer Christopher DeJoseph was watching an old tape of WCW Saturday Night and saw Vader powerbomb someone hard outside of the ring. DeJoseph thought it was cool how scary and powerful Vader looked so they had Sheamus do the powerbomb on Noble.
