The WWE style was probably created by Ric Flair - he believed fans just wanted to see the same moves, that a wrestler just needed a few signiture moves creating a distinct style

...of course Triple H ensures this never gets challenged...

Can't wait for this in TNA...Kevin Nash might turn out to have the most moves :'(

Flair to TNA? JR Thinks So.....
« Reply #2 on: November 30, 2009, 05:13:39 pm »
Isn't he too old for the wrestling malarkey???

WWE commentator Jim Ross thinks wrestling legend Ric Flair could end up in rival firm TNA alongside Hulk Hogan.

Flair supposedly retired from the ring in March 2008 at WrestleMania 24 - but returned last week to main event against Hogan on the Hulkamania tour of Australia.

Now JR reckons the Nature Boy may be the next big name signing for TNA, who already have the likes Kurt Angle, Mick Foley, Bobby Lashley, Taz and Kevin Nash working for them.

Sting, arguably Flair's most famous career rival, is also under contract to Dixie Carter's group, but hasn't been seen since losing to AJ Styles at Bound For Glory.

Jim commented: "Will Ric Flair ever go to TNA?

"That's a Naitch question but the chances of Flair doing some work with TNA especially now that Hulk is headed there is much more likely than had Hulk not joined TNA in my opinion."

Ross did however rule out another WWE legend, and his good friend, Steve Austin crossing over.

Writing on his blog, JR added: "That's a question for Steve but my educated guess would be no.

"I don't think Steve has any intention of ever wrestling again as he focuses on his movie career which is both time consuming and challenging for the 'new guy'.

"Steve is and always will, be a fan of the wrestling business but he's building a body of work in the movie business and has been involved in, I think, three or four productions this year alone which is a helluva, challenging schedule."

With regard to joining TNA, “Nature Boy” Ric Flair had the following to say to Alex Marvez of Scripps News:

“I haven’t entertained the idea of working there because I’ve been so loyal to WWE, but you never know what’s going to go on,” Flair said. “I don’t want to make any predictions, but I’ve certainly got a lot left to offer. I think I would be a good addition to (TNA’s) program.

“Everything is about money, timing, what they want me to do and the job description. There’s a lot up in the air. I haven’t talked to (TNA ownership) yet, but I’ve had conversations with people who work there. I’ve stood by WWE, but if they’re not going to use me anymore, I’m ready for any kind of action.”

The Wrestling Observer is reporting that TNA and Ric Flair are very close to signing a deal. The issue as it stands right now is money, and it's being said that Flair wants a direct contract with Panda Energy as opposed to TNA just in case the company folds. If TNA were to fold and Flair was under contract with Panda Energy, then any monies owed to him in his contract would be paid on time.

- The latest on Ric Flair is that he has not signed with TNA as of this week. Flair was out of the country on vacation last weekend but word is that TNA is putting pressure on him that if he doesn’t sign and appear on the January 4th show then the offer may be pulled.

The issue most likely is Flair not wanting to go with WWE’s competition. However, money plays a factor as the last time WWE made him an offer it wasn’t even close to what TNA is offering. It’s believed that WWE’s last offer to Flair was somewhere around $250,000 per year. Flair hasn’t spoken with WWE about any kind of offer recently.

As noted before, Flair wants to sign with Panda Energy in case TNA goes under, he still gets paid. Flair feels that since Hulk Hogan signed a deal under the same circumstances with Panda, he should get the same treatment.

I wouldn't even let him watch the show.

He is a pathetic old man, he's in worse condition than some of my grandparents. Guy should be in a retirement home not a ring

I really really hate Flair - I gave up on WWE for 5 years because he returned, I'll ditch TNA if needs be

I am not watching old men stumble about a rung

- This isn’t 100% confirmed but apparently Ric Flair was spotted at Orlando’s International Airport last night around 8PM EST. With the promo cut by Hulk Hogan earlier today on Flair, it is still possible he might appear on iMPACT.
