Hey Gang,

We are now ready to enter Round 1 of the LEGENDSonline Interactive Wrestling Tag Tournament. On tap there are a total of eleven matches:

* Choose five winners from any combination below. For each outright victory you will earn 2 points, a win by dq earns 1 point, a draw is a push (0 points), a loss by dq (-1 point) and an outright loss (-2 points). You can even earn points if you bet against the team that you fielded

* If the team you fielded advances to the next round with a victory you will earn a 2 point bonus

* Along with placing your bets, you can also earn 5 additional points by submitting a team name & role play for the specific team that you fielded. A role play can be any form of creative support that you feel will help to get over your team before the start of their scheduled match (ie. backstage skit, vignette, interview, pre-taped segment). All role plays will be added into the results as they are submitted verbatim.

To allow for strategy, send your bets and role plays to me by PM with the subject marked LOIW Bets/RPs. The deadline for submissions will be Sunday 11 PM PST. Card results will go up on Monday Night March 22nd (along with the updated leaderboard standings).

Tag Team Tournament
Round 2

Fabulous Kangaroos (Receive A Bye)

Al Snow and Ox Baker are standing outside the lockerroom with a camera crew. Snow is holding a bulging gym bag.

Snow: Buff Bagwell and Diamon Dallas Page, two guys who have a ton of ability. Well, you two are in our way in this tournament here and we'll just have to remove this roadblock from our path. Some of the teams here have given themselves a team name, we hadn't until now come up with one, but it's a doozy and it'll catch fire like nothing before. From here on out we will be known as......

<Snow pulls out Head from the gym bag, Head has had a haircut and is bald>Bald <Snow points at Ox's head> Head! Bald Head! Snow shakes Head into the air several time as Ox simply scowls at Snow.

Open Mic Promo: Diamond ‘n’ The Buff
DDP: Listen up…I ain’t one long on words…Ox Baker…al Snow…you’re the next on our list…we check it once…then “BANG”…you’re out…

Bagwell: You got that right…this man is a Diamond…and I…heheh…and The Buff…and we will be the LEGENDSonline Tag Tournament winners! (bicep pose)…(DDP rolls his eyes and stomps off)…(Buff has one more smile for the camera…then leaves)

vs
Buff Bagwell & Diamond Dallas Page (Graymar) vs Ox Baker & Al Snow (magnumta)

Ox Baker nearly ends things early with a HEARTPUNCH on Bagwell before the bell...but the Buffster somehow drapes his foot on the ropes. Page tags in but goes down hard after a Snow huracanrana. Baker back in with a clothesline...which sets up the HEARTPUNCH...1,2,3!

Sky High Promo

RVD
Well, Baba and Bobo tried to stop us and they couldn't. Now it's those Old Schoolers Hack and Pesek. They'll try and ground us but they can't keep two good guys down. We'll show them how to get high but then they're going to go down, tell them Superfly.

Snuka
Brother, those two are strong but we're going to show them moves they never saw back in the day. We're going all the way here and there's nothing they can do about it.

RVD
Because we're Sky High and all others including Hack and Pesek are going to go down.

Credit Dragon350

We see the Shooter's Club backstage, and John Pesek is again doing all the talking while George Hackenschmidt just smiles and nods with his arms crossed. "Again, we're not big on talking, and we're definitely not big on ENTERTAINING. We outwrestled those two Japanese Jumping Beans, and now we've got our sights set on two more high-flyers, 'R-V-D and the Superfly...' Well, they'll get the same treatment. You can't fly if you can't walk!"

vs
Rob Van Dam & Jimmy Snuka (Troy) vs George Hackenschmidt & John Pesek (Dragon350)

Another huge contrasts in style. Can Hack & Pesek ground Snuka & RVD in the say way as they did Liger & Tiger Mask in Round 1? Time will soon tell. At the open A Hackenscmidt body scissors on RVD sets up a TIGER MAN TOEHOLD for a near submission. A grind forearm to the face opens a mouse above Van Dam's right eye. A fireman's carry slam nets a two count. RVD finds his side of the ring as Snuka tags in. The Superfly rocks Pesek with a series of headbutts until Pesek rallies back with a front chancery & eye gouge. Hackenschmidt tags in as he hits a vicious back breaker into a rolling cradle...1,2,3!

George Hackenschmidt & John Pesek advance

vs
Antonio Inoki & Steve Williams (Switchfoot) vs Rikidozan & The Destroyer (Jim Steel)

An intense stare off ensues between Rikidozan and Inoki until Riki offers his younger protege his hand. Inoki reverse an arm twister and tags in Williams. A series of football tackles rock the Father of Puroresu but he deftly tags out to The Destroyer. Momentum changes off and on until The Destroyer sends Inoki hard into the steel post after a brawl on the outside. The Destroyer goes to work on the legs of Inoki...a single leg Boston Crab almost draws a submission. The Destroyer signals...FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK...diving save by Williams. The Destroyer misses a turnbuckle charge...an Inoki ENZUIGIRI scores a near fall. Tag to Williams who hits a lariat for a two count. Inoki tags back in and locks in the OCTOPUS HOLD...save by Rikidozan...who nearly knocks Inoki unconscious with a kick to the head. The Destroyer recovers and hits Bombs Away. Riki tags in...HIPLOCK...1,2, save by Williams. Things deteriorate as all four men battle to the arena floor. Rikidozan nails Williams with THUNDEROUS CHOPS on the outside...knocking him cold while The Destroyer barely rolls back inside to beat the 10 count.

RVD sits in a locker room with a towel on his neck.

RVD: Well Jimmy and I had a good run but had a little bit of bad luck. That's okay. It happens. Now, I've got Tiger Mask in my sights. He thinks he flys high, but I fly higher. I'm going to take him down and show him that it's a new day and the time is 4:20. You will go down to the five star frog splash because it's a new night and that night is spelled. R-V-D.

Satoru Sayama sits at home, alone, meditating. The 52 year old begins to clear his mind and his brain transports......

"SAYAMA! Good, you are back. I'm not competing tonight, but you get to face RVD. He is very similar to us, but..."

"Stop right there Yamada. Rob is NOTHING like us. He is a slacker, a poseur and a fraud. He only wants to think he is like us because he thinks it is 'cool'. I can not stand him. I can not stand his lifestyle. I will make an example of him and his 4:20. You must learn Yamada, people like Rob are a dime a dozen. You must not listen to him......"

Jimmy Snuka: Jushin Liger might call himself lightning, but the Superfly is like a hurricane. When I hit him, he'll feel it for a long time. When I climb to the top and hit the Superfly Leap, he will go down for the 1-2-3. Peace, Brother.

*In the locker room of The Ryogoku Kokugikan Jushin Liger bowed his head. He had just lost an uncharacteristically quick match to Ultimo Dragon in yet another big Junior tournament. But that wasn't the problem. In just a few days, his career, and more importantly his LIFE would be on the line as he was going to have brain surgery. This may be the last match of his life, and he couldn't help but tear up. As he leaned up by his locker, his partially damaged mind began to wander....*

"Liger! It's time."

Liger brushes by Tiger Mask with a fury and intention the old master had never seen. Liger rushes to the ring as TM struggles to keep pace....

vs
Jushin Liger (w/ Tiger Mask) vs Jimmy Snuka (w/ RVD)

The Superfly comes out like a raging bull and never looks back. A series of vicious chops send Liger reeling. A piledriver and powerslam set up the SUPERFLY LEAP...1,2,3!

{SD Jones and Bobo Brazil are sitting in the locker room, icing their bodies down.}

SD: Man, I have had it with dumb Giant. I just want to smack him in the mouth.

Bobo: Just chill man! I knows that we will get our hands on him next week.

SD: Yeah, but how is that gonna make it any better?

Bobo: We will challenge him to a tag team match.

SD: And...

Bobo: And, we will set up his partner to be someone that we pay off to help us jump him.

SD: How are we gonna do that?

Bobo: Do sweat it...I got is all worked out.

{Nick Bockwinkel comes out of the shower.}

Nick: Gentlemen, just a quick word of advice. In the future, when you plan treachery, you should watch who can hear you. As Andre will need a partner, I have no problem teaming with him. I truly can not stand ignorance and I will look forward to helping the big man stomp it out.

{Nick walked to his locker and proceed to get dressed, as SD and Bobo looked at each other.}

Nick: Oh, and less you think you can merely way-lay me here and hide you treachery, remember that these walls have ears.

{Nick finishes dressing and takes his bag.}

Nick: Get some rest, gentlemen.
