JTG vs Shad in a strap match

Mildly shocked, yet happy by that, I didn't think they'd actually let that feud extend to PPV, kudos to creative, although I sense it may be because they haven't been able to further the ShoMiz vs. Hart Dynasty feud this week due to the volcanic ash so they put this on the card instead, I'm pretty certain the angle planned monday night with Bret would have led to a match this weekend.

Not overly impressed with the show.

Miz was hilarious prior to the opening match but the match itself never really got going and was just another step in the feud with the Hart Dynasty more tv than ppv stuff.  The Strap match was also less than stellar and to be honest I found the Triple H vs Sheamus match pretty stale and medicore.  I thought the Punk vs Mysterio match was pretty good, some nice near falls and it was cool seeing a new member debut, already several rumours as to who it may be.  The Women's Title match was better than expected but still not anything to write home about and the World Title match was a bit meh to, Orton at the moment though seems to be the most over guy in the company, they must have faith in Swagger though, a clean win of all things.  Edge's match with Jericho was a prime example of a match that needed blood, you had the hatred, the revenge on Edge's mind, the constant beatdown and brutalising of Jericho but that would have sold it that bit more.  The Main Event took awhile to get going, in the early stages I was really bored but it got good, very good in the second half and had some great drama, novel finish I guess although I wasn't much of a fan of it.  Overall bit of a meh event.

I enjoyed Punk/Mysterio and Last Man Standing. I quite liked the Women's Title match too for what it was. Like Hammy said though, blood would have helped put some of these feuds and matches over. Even if it's only used sparingly, it would still be cool every now and then. The only thing about the main event was that it seemed to follow the usual pattern of 'Cena gets beat up for most of the match but finds a way to win at the end'. Other than though, I thought it was good.

Striker is still annoying sometimes, but I LOLed when he referred to Michael Cole's fans as "the Cole miners".

I'm pretty sure that is there legit nickname on his wweblog thingy, it was mentioned on NXT this past week too.

I get the impression Cole and Lawler really don't like Striker, probably because he's the only one not phoning it in, Lawler needs to go!

^I don't mind the explanations he gives for stuff (damage to body parts and all that), he just sometimes gets a bit too technical for my liking. He also has an odd affection for Vickie Guerrero....

Also amusing was Cole saying Cena is popular the world over, only for a "Cena sucks!" chant to start not long after.
