What does everyone think about the MITB match seemingly being dropped from Mania?

Personally i liked it at Mania. Never sure who was gonna win and you always get a few good spots.

I know they have a MITB PPV now and that might be the reason why its stopping but i just think its such a great tool and so many have profited from it.

This year workers like Barrett, Morrison, McIntyre, Rhodes, Swagger & Dibiase must be thinking that its a chance they would if liked to come their way.

Personally i think Morrison, Barrett and McIntyre all could have been great contenders if they had the match this year, especially Morrison who at some point must get involved in the title picture after a stellar 12 months.

Instead of this it looks like we might have a two 3 on 3 matches one being a intergender match. Just saying i know what i'd prefer.

- As most everyone knows, The Undertaker defeated Triple H ten years ago at WrestleMania 17 back in 2001.

For their current WrestleMania 27 feud, officials have ordered that the WrestleMania 17 match not be brought up and acknowledged because there?s a feeling it will take away from the fans believing that Triple H can end the streak.

I was wondering why it hadn't been mentioned. That's kinda stupid isn't it? I mean, I would've thought the fact that Taker beat HHH nearly ten years to the day of Wrestlemania 27 would add to the feud. HHH could say that he's a better competitor now or something and that he will prove he can beat Taker at WM. I mean, last year, the fact that Shawn Michaels had lost to Taker at WM25 was the main reason their match was happening. Just seems strange...

As for MITB, I think it's more of a Wrestlemania kind of match. The MITB PPV was good, but I think having that sort of match at WM just adds to the overall feel of the event. Having just one also added to the special feel of the match, whereas now at the MITB PPV we get two in one night. It's like, you wait all year for one, and then two come along at once....

I agree on both counts. The HHH vs Taker thing is strange... Personally i wasnt a fan of their first Mania match although i know that some people really enjoyed it. HHH should want revenge for that loss and it should hurt HHH that he is just a statistic in this legacy. And on top of that he beat his buddy HBK and ended his career! Great Build up stuff there.

As with the MITB i think it offers the period after WM til Christmas with potential for a new star and new storylines. Just a match that everyone looks forward to and has potential to steal a show

And now Drew Carey???

We need another big name!

I'm a bit gutted this hasn't been a WWE themed one, I was hoping for the likes of Luger, Arn Anderson, even Sting!

If the removal of MITB meant a focus on IC, US and Tag Title matches I'd be happy....

...to ditch it for medicore celebrity 6 person matches though  ::)

I heard somewhere MITB was dropped since it has its own PPV now.

Can't wait for HHH vs. Taker and Cody Rhodes' match - definately the best heel in eons.

I understand why it was dropped, but I'm just not ultra keen on some of the replacements....Snooki-Mania? WTF?

The Corre vs Kane/Big Show/Santino/Kozlov should have something attached to it like.  Pin Barrett and you win the IC Title.  Pin Gabriel or Slater and you and your partner win the tag straps.  Pin Zeke and...erm..you can choose??  Just something extra, or make it an elimination match, I love those matches :)

Let Snooki have her "little" moment but I'm hoping for plenty of Morrison and Ziggler in the ring.  Could be good!

The Road Warriors - good choice?  Me not having the knowledge of wrestling any more that 3 years old I don't know a lot about them apart from little things I have seen and read.  Am I right in thinking that "Hawk" passed away?  So this is a great touch!

They are a great choice.  For popularity alone, they were one of the most over teams ever, the pop they got in their prime was on a par with that of the Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair main eventers.  Their DVD is another good one.  Hawk passed away, few years after finding God and getting sober.

Metallica announced on their Facebook page that Triple H is going to use one of their songs at Wrestlemania. Assuming it's not an April Fool's Day joke, what could it be?

For Whom The Bell Tolls? Master Of Puppets? The End Of The Line???

Sting:

?I wouldn?t say it was utter nonsense, that?s not true! It?s a dream match that fans would want to see. It was close. I?m glad things turned out the way they did. There are so many variables. Let?s just say that I turned it down for the same reasons I always have. Some- thing in me never trusted what would happen up there, based entirely on the track record with other WCW guys and everything that went on after Vince bought WCW. I wont be watching but I?ll be asking what happened between Undertaker and Triple H."
