Before the tapings started, the Impact Zone crowd was addressed by members of the TNA staff. They talked to the crowd about not cursing, making obscene gestures, or gang signs. They called the crowd 'cast members' and basically told the crowd that they needed to be quiet.

(Jan 19th)

Hernandez and Matt Morgan defeated The British Invasion to retain the TNA Tag Titles. During the match, Rob Terry came out and had his X Division Title shot briefcase. Brutus tried to use the briefcase on Hernandez during the match, but he missed and hit Doug Williams instead. Hernandez pinned Williams.

After the match, Mick Foley came out and he hit Rob Terry with a chair. After Hernandez and Morgan left the ring, Foley said something to the camera that could not be heard by the crowd.

After pyro goes off, Ric Flair comes to the ring with two women. Flair says that he hates Hulk Hogan, but he loves TNA. Flair says that he is here to find the next 'Nature Boy'. Flair then brings out the 'next heavyweight champion' A.J. Styles. Styles comes to the ring in a suit and he is accompanied by a woman. Styles puts over the beautiful women in the ring and then the crowd chants 'You are married'. This causes Styles to laugh and there was an awkward pause. A.J. cuts a promo that utilized a style similar to his new mentor.

Kurt Angle comes to the ring with Hulk Hogan. Hogan says that he has changed his mind about Genesis being Angle's last title shot because he runs the show. Hogan announces that Kurt Angle versus A.J. Styles will happen tonight. Hogan says that it is 'damn real'.

Orlando Jordan defeats D'Angelo Dinero with a Flatliner.

It was announced that Ken Anderson will face Jeff Jarrett tonight.

Angelina Love defeated Madison Rayne after a bicycle kick. After the match, Love ripped Madison's shirt off and choked her with it. Velvet and Lacey come to the ring and they attack Love with the 'ugly stick'.

Hogan and Bischoff come out. They are tired of The Band running around and they want to see them wrestle. The Band come out and Waltman is smoking. Hogan says that since they don't have contracts, they don't have contracts, they don't work for TNA. Hogan has security escort them out of the building.

Nasty Boys defeated Kevin Nash and Eric Young when Saggs pinned Young after a pumphandle drop.

Mr. Anderson comes to the ring to cut a promo. He talks about his victory over Abyss at Genesis. Abyss is standing behind him and he attacks Anderson until Anderson is able to get out of the ring.

A.J. Styles defeated Kurt Angle with an ankle lock. This match was described as an 'Orlando Screw Job'. Earl Hebner was the referee for this match and he had them ring the bell. Styles, Flair, and Hebner left the ringside area. After the match, Hulk Hogan came out and Angle spat in his face. Angle went to the announce table and took Mike Tenay's chair and throw it into the stage.

Eric Bischoff comes out with blood on his forehead and states that Mick Foley is fired and then he leaves.

In an Xplosion Match: Dr. Stevie defeated Homicide with a Stevie-T.

(Jan 26th - Rest will be taped tonight)

Desmond Wolfe defeated Sean Morley with the Tower of London. This was a qualifying match for a tournament at Against All Odds to determine the number one contender for the TNA World Heavyweight Title at Lockdown.

Hernandez defeated Daniels in another qualifying match for the tournament at Against All Odds.

Ken Anderson defeats Jeff Jarrett after a low blow. Jarrett tried for the Stroke during the match but Anderson used the low blow. After the match, Anderson hit the Mic Check and then did his usual mic work.

The Good
-------------
New Ring - I like the Ramp up to the ring like in ECW. Lots of Potential there.

Kendrick - A Good Signing.

Ending of Amazing Red/Kendrick match was amazing.

Roode - Along with Morgan he is TNA's future.

Kennedy entrance - Marked out big time for that. Awesome music and he is so good on the Mic. Be interested to see how they use him.

AJ Styles - simply brilliant.

The Bad
---------

Amazing Red - As cool as he is and he is obviously talented he should not be the pinacle of the X-Division.

Brooke Hogan - **** off or calm down!

Scott Hall - he looks like he is allergic to shell fish and just ate at a shell fish buffet.

Sean Morley - I fail to see how he progresses TNA in any way!

Some Fans - The Guy in the purple shirt in the front row is a **** the entire way through

Pope/Wolfe - Found the match awkward and sloppy. I reckon both will be gone within 12 months. Also Crowd not into the match really.

Destroying Abyss - Tapping one minute losing the next! Wouldn't mind him with AJ & Flair as their muscle, but he has to go back to the monster he was.

AJ Styles heel turn - Not sure at all about that. They will have to push hard for me to buy AJ as a heel.

WWE references - They are bad. AJ at the end made me cringe with the"Champ is Here" comment.

Worst.Angle.Ever! Do they wanna be WWE? coz it seems like they do. They seem to use their quotes, old wrestlers and now history. I had to read it twice coz i could not believe how crap that was!

They are copying a REAL event that occured and trying to make it an Angle..... TNA is supposed to be the compnay that respects the business by putting talent first.... No respect there at all.

If i was Vince.... i'd be laughing my head off. Not only are they trying to copy WWE they are trying to copy WWE 13 years ago hahaaha.

This new dawn of TNA is starting to seem all promise and very little substance. You take AJ & Angle out of TNA and i'm not sure you are left with much.

Its horrible to think this is what they thought the best way to get AJ over as a heel.... it basically is saying that we could not think of anything better. Which is worrying!

YOU HAVE BETTER WRESTLERS.... USE THEM!!!!!!!

They'd be really stupid if they let either of these 2 great talents go.

I agree with Gnrfan about that match though.. it just was off the entire time. like they were a step behind.

TNA should've learned with WWE and Kane.. letting monsters talk and have emotions is a terrible idea. Kane pulled it off and was still pretty cool.. Abyss whining and acting like a scared little kid is just pathetic.

He's been ruined so much, I'd just kick him to the curb and focus on others.

More tapings, although they tape things out or order so when what will air is anyone's guess:

* Orlando Jordan defeated Jay Lethal with a Flatliner.

* Brian Kendrick and The Motor City Machine Guns defeated Amazing Red and Generation Me in a six man tag match when Kendrick pinned Red after a kick to the head. The Machine Guns had Red beaten and Kendrick made a blind tag. After the match, Kendrick, Sabin, and Shelley argued.

* Amazing Red was in the ring and the British Invasion came to the ring for Rob Terry to cash in his X Division Title Match Feast or Fired briefcase. After some discussion between the members of the British Invasion, they decided to give Doug Williams the briefcase and use it for the match against Amazing Red.

* Doug Williams defeats Amazing Red to become the new X Division Champion with Chaos Theory. Red was unable to overcome Williams who overwhelmed Red despite a valiant effort.

* After the match, Rob Terry appeared to be angry about what just happened in the ring.

* D’Angelo Dinero defeated A.J. Styles with a small package in a non-title match.

* After the match, Flair and Styles attacked Dinero but Samoa Joe came to the ring to help Dinero and made the save. Joe and Dinero cleared the ring of Styles and Flair. Joe got a mic and said that A.J. got rid of everything for a cheap suit and some hos. Joe tells A.J. that he will teach him a lesson at Against All Odds. Samoa Joe will face A.J. Styles for the TNA Heavyweight Title on February 14th at Against All Odds.

* Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff come out and they call out Mick Foley because of his attack on Eric Bischoff last week. Mick comes out and he says that he wishes he attacked Bischoff but he did not do it. Foley said that if he attacked Bischoff, he would have been taken out on a stretcher. Foley calls Bischoff a liar. Hogan tells Foley and Bischoff that they need to work it out or Foley needs to walk out the two. Foley and Hogan had a stare down.

* The Beautiful People defeated TNA Knockouts Champion Tara and TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champions Hamada and Awesome Kong in a six woman tag match. The referee was distracted by Tara and Lacey brawling and that allowed Madison to hit Hamada with the Ugly Stick to get the win.

* After the match, Kong chased Velvet to the back. Lacey and Madison attacked Tara and Hamada until Angelina Love came out to make the save and Lacey and Madison left the ring.

* Kurt Angle comes out and he says that his match with A.J. at Genesis was the match of his life. Angle then says that A.J. disappointed him, the guys in the back, and the fans because they agreed that they would prove who was the best at Genesis. Angle calls Styles a ‘punk ass ****’. Angle mentions the match he had with A.J. last week and then he calls out Angle wondering if A.J. really believes that Flair cares about him. Angle mentions that he has a qualifying match for the tournament at Against All Odds and Angle says that he will will the tournament and he will take back the title to prove that he is the greatest in the world.

* Hogan comes out and he calls out Angle for spitting in his face last week. Angle apologizes and he shakes hands with Hogan. Hogan leaves the ring and then Scott Hall and Sean Waltman attack Angle. Angle fights back against Hall and Waltman until security comes out and separates them. Hall and Waltman leave the Impact Zone.

* TNA World Tag Team Champions Matt Morgan and Hernandez defeated Team 3D to retain the titles after Morgan hit the Carbon Footprint on Ray. The Nasty Boys interfered during the match when Team 3D was preparing for the Wassup Head butt and pushed Devon off the turnbuckles while the referee was distracted.

* After the match, the Nasty Boys attacked Team 3D once Hernandez and Morgan left the ring. Hernandez and Morgan returned to chase off The Nasty Boys. There was a stare down between Team 3D and the Champions and they eventually shook hands and Team 3D gave Hernandez and Morgan their title belts back.

* Mr. Anderson defeated Brutus Magnus with the Mic Check.

* TNA Knockouts Champion Tara defeated Angelina Love with a roll up to retain the Knockouts Title.

* Velvet and Lacey came out and attacked Tara and Angelina. Tara and Angelina took care of Lacey and Velvet. Tara and Angelina then shook hands in the ring.

* Kurt Angle defeated Tomko with an ankle lock in a Qualifying Match for the Tournament at Against All Odds.

In a segment taped for the February 11th Impact:

* Samoa Joe comes out and calls out TNA World Heavyweight Champion A.J. Styles. Styles comes to the ring with Ric Flair. Joe talks about how him and A.J. have been involved in some of the best clashes in TNA and that A.J. earned the respect of the fans. Joe tells A.J. that by screwing over Angle, he threw all of the respect away. Flair says that A.J. is the champion and that Joe and the fans will learn the definition of respect. Joe calls A.J. the last pure thing in TNA and that he threw that away as well. A.J. mentions that Joe has turned on more people than Styles has and that Joe has no room to judge. Styles comments about how every time someone comes in like Taz, Joe gets in their face. Joe responds by telling A.J. that every time someone new comes into the company A.J. gets on his knees and kisses the ring of his new sugar daddy.

*A.J. goes to the ring and they brawl with Joe getting the upper hand. Joe had A.J. set for the muscle buster but Flair came in and hit Joe with a low blow. Flair and Styles taunted Joe before leaving the ring.

Ric Flair's promos are so amazing.. his opening promo on Impact Thursday was amazing!!

Maybe he can rub off and teach some of the TNA talent.

I love the direction TNA are going.. sure some stuff may happen I don't agree with, but this TNA is exciting

DirectV changed TNA Wrestling back to TNA Impact so my DVR didn't record it and for the first time i was PISSED.. I am watching it on YouTube now...... If I missed a Raw or SD.. I'd just read what happned, I wouldn't watch it.

TNA Excites me now.. i feel I have to tune in.

Ric Flair promotes the WWE style - which was in turn based on him anyway...

...so now we have Styles wrestling the Flair way. Yey...

So Styles new direction is basically to make him look weak and cowardly and banged up Angle look like TNA's star?

Honestly I can't figure out what TNA is aiming for

anyway the screwjob made me laugh - but when it's not live, it don't work - and why give a match and then screw the result, why not just not give the match...

I can see plenty of improvements in TNA but all the young guys are being buried, poor old Daniels...

...and who about some wrestling guys?

First time watching a full Impact in about a year. Was pretty good in an annoying sort of way. The screwjob was laughable although, I do want to tune in again to see were they go with it. AJ Styles does not work as a heel. Just when I thought/heard he had made some serious progression, I see him copying Flair's catchphrases and whatnot. He's too goofy. Following this, it made me realise when Kurt came out - that he is the best damn pro wrestler in the world today. AJ should take his advice from Angle and not Flair. Angle has played every sort of character he possibly can, and has excelled at every one of them.

On another note, The Nasty Boys in TNA let alone in ring competition is an insult to the company and my intelligence. There's only one thing that would make them worth watching: Cornette and JBL on commentary.  :P

Fixed for the comedy value aspect of a commentator calling them fat bastards every 20 seconds.

After TNA Monday night special on January 4th drew a strong 1.5 cable rating, it appears Spike TV has scheduled another live TNA broadcast to go head-to-head with WWE RAW.

According to news correspondent Devin Cutting, Spike TV has scheduled a second Monday night TNA Impact episode on March 1st from 9-11 PM EST head-to-head with WWE RAW.

Comedy duo Cheech & Chong are scheduled to host WWE RAW that night.

No official announcement has been made yet from either Spike TV or TNA Wrestling. There is also no word on whether the show will be live or taped.

TNA originally had their Australian tour that would have run from late February to early March, but it was rescheduled due to "changes in the U.S. TV production schedule."
