I don't think they are thinking that far a head right now Izzy.

The whole magical wwe hall of fame ring seem like something right out of a shitty direct to video flick .

how bout the Flair blade job? AWESOME!

nice to see blood again

I think Impact is awesome. Love the Eric/Jarret stuff

The Mick Foley stuff i could do without but on a whole, i love where Impact is going and once Hernandez and Morgan split, that feud is going to be awesome

Looks like WOlfe is joining up with AJ and FLair maybe.. they need to add a tag team.. I still think now, Beer Money would be perfect for a 4 horsemen type stable

Terrible blade job, I love a good blade job, when its an extra thrown into a fight, but it seems they booked that how fight so they could just blade it out. They are too slow in the ring, IF HOGAN or flair is to wrestle  it needs to be against younger who who have speed and can carry the match, it seemed so slow in that TINY little ring, and when didn Abyss get hit with a douche bag **** stick?

Holy hell - was impact as awesome as the write up suggests?

Hardy, RVD, Sting - damn, wish I had the patience to wait for it to show here!

Looked like it kicked RAW up and down Monday evening!

TNA was pretty decent, while Raw just kinda went through the motions.

That said, it was easy for TNA tonight, and WWE knows it. This edition of impact! was hyped like crazy, but the question is can they deliver each week?

Haven't seen RAW yet, so I can't compare, I'll leave that to the "Monday Night Wars" thread anyway when I do see it.

It was cool seeing Rob Van Dam, and smart booking I guess, but annoying nonetheless.  My thought, like most being "Holy **** I'm going to see RVD vs. Sting" (Taz told all the stoners that about 10 minutes prior to it happening anyway....) and then we didn't get it, now technically we did, but a 10 second match does not a match make.  It was a great feud building exercise and obviously the money is in having this match on PPV so it would have been dumb to give the whole thing away on free tv.  Hulk Hogan's presence in the segment/angle leads me to think that past this, the long term angle/plan is Hulk Hogan vs. Sting (again), maybe they are trying to right the wrongs from the conclusion of the past feud many years ago and maybe the "spin" on this angle is the reverse roles of who is heel and face compared to who was back in the day.

The X-Division match was very good but I'm not exactly thrilled to see Shannon Moore run-in and get the next shot, it's like watching Funaki run down, I know he's talented but I've seen him on Velocity for too many years, sorry, but give it to someone else.

Eric Young's current role has really won me over, it suits him, amazingly, liked the segment with the Wolfpac, Hall seemed the most sober he'd been for ages, although Hall and Nash hardly sold the feud on their end, they seemed to be having fun with each other.

Beer Money thrive as heels, wise choice.

No Morgan or Hernandez?  Strange....

Jeff Hardy joining, cool!

Beautiful People as Tag Champs, that works for me!

Honestly the segment with Kurt Angle bored me......

Maybe it's me, but if I was a new viewer and at the start of the show I saw this new guy Abyss coming out with Hogan, I'd think who's the fat indie looking wrestling coming out with The Hulkster.  He's spending all this time trying to give him the "Rub", wouldn't he of been better doing that with someone like Morgan or Hernandez?

How many smurfin' times did the crowd shoot to Dixie and Brooke during that 1st segment/match, was it really needed?  Heck the commentators didn't even acknowledge who Brooke was 'til like the 5th time the camera switched to her feeling the need to explain why she was crying.

Overall decent show, can they keep it up though?  They can't rely on debuts of the RVD, Hardy caliber each and every week can they?

Well, they've used Sting and Hardy twice for that role....

See, I always loved WCW and WWE back when they were great cause when a PPV came on, it was special, it was different.

Seriously, most WWE pPV's are just like a best of SD and Raw cause u've already seen the match 40 times before they actually meet on PPV. Dibiase will probably face Orton at WM but ****, how many times have they already wrestled?

Nitro use to be the best at that. they'd hype this huge main event and then **** would happen to interfere and it wouldn't go down.. but it made u thirst for more and u couldn't wait to finally see it.

Think of this

we will get to see AJ vs Hardy AJ Vs RVD! how bout a 3 way!!!!! Holy ****!

I use to hate Mr Kennedy on WWE but i tell u what, he has been awesome on TNA with what seems like carte blanche freedom

Argh bait and switch!

Dont do it!

TNA used to give its all for Impact and then provide a lazy PPV

Now it seems its all about the PPV - which means Impact is 8 second matches.

Balance - get the balance!!

Must confess I did like Impact this week - a slightly more significant role for RVD would have been the icing on the cake

Loved Impact this week... didn't do a thread cause Stone Cold sealed it for WWE this week.

but great matches, love how they are building up so many feuds:

U got

Bischoff feuding with Jarret/Foley
Hernandez and morgan split coming which will be awesome
They have listened to the fans and X division seems to be getting the time again
Angle and Anderson
Pope and Wolfe
Hogan/RVD/Hardy/Abyss wSting,Flair and AJ

TNA have kind of dropped the ball on this though

they need people around AJ and Ric. they should've established a stable first and had AJ,Flair and a couple others beat the **** out of hogan etc THEN Hogan bring in Hardy/RVD to help

now it seems a bit uneven.. they need Flair to bring in one more person to even stuff out.

Saw Goldberg on the celebrity apprentice, they need to get him to do some stuff.. that would be huge.

Would he work with a manager though?  What kind of person would be a good mouthpiece for the dude?

Agreed, I am enjoying them and he seems to be trying, hope he keeps it up.

The first reports are that RAW did a 3.71 and Impact did an 0.84 (0.88 first hour, 0.80 second hour).

Impact did an average of 1.1 million viewers. Viewership was down 21.4 percent from last week's 1.4 million viewers. RAW did 5.60 million viewers.

Impact had the usual ratings pattern where the rating was strong during the first quarter with an 0.84 but bottomed out at the during the final quarter with an 0.72 for AJ Styles vs. Jeff Hardy. The overrun did an 0.74.
