Vinnie Mac is a fool - he should be pleading with TNA and Spike to do this weekly

sure I'm intrested in this 3 hour impact but I'm also intrested in Raw for the first time in 6 months - but even more important, I'm intrested in wrestling in a way I haven't been for months

both companies will benefit - everyone wins by some competition, it's the basis if capitalism

the real winner today is the fans

Source: Prowrestling.net

- According to sources, the following stars are backstage at tonight’s iMPACT for the three-hour show:

* Scott Hall, Sean Waltman, Orlando Jordan, Val Venis and The Nasty Boys

Eric Bischoff, Hulk Hogan and Jason Hervey are also already at the building for tonight’s show. No word yet if Venis, Jordan and The Nasty Boys will be appearing on TV tonight but Waltman and Hall will.

Yeah i agree. I think both shows product will improve if they are on the same time. I think the problem is that maybe TNA isn't quite ready to commit to the war yet. Maybe this weeks edition will change that.

Its only really a war if the companies get close. I'd say TNA has 2 to 3 years to get to RAW's level once it starts the war and if that doesn't happen it could fade out.

Former WWE Superstar Brian Kendrick is expected to start with TNA soon. He may make his debut in the Steel Cage Asylum match for the X Division Title tonight.

Seems to make sense to include views and reviews in one thread so spoilers don't leak to other threads - fans in the UK won't get impact till Saturday

I've read up on what happened - suffice to say we should have avoided spoilers, jeff hardy is huge - but I already guessed he was coming. Would have been one he'll of a surprise - though how one can be expected to 'hide' from news for weeks I have no idea, only human!

Show looks really intresting - never expected Bischoff to be actually involved in impact, thought he be a consultant, if that. Not sure what to think about his return

Flair showing up is a dagger to my heart - he's the primary reason I stopped watching WWE for 5 years straight. He better not wrestle - but sting/flair must be mere months away

seemed a confused show with plenty of wrestlers filmed 'denied entry'? Perhaps that seems less odd watching that rather than reading it

baffled that an asylum match ended in a dq and a barbed wire match had no barbed wire - Abyss taps? That's kinda humilated him at a time when he should be being rebuilt

unsure why we had the whole nwo dissent angle - to explain why they don't appear again?

all told the show looked good - but if I'm honest I could have booked it better:

hardy wins x title in asylum (no rules after all)
hogan betrays Dixie for an NWO takeover
Sting having a more mysterious role
barbed wire massacre match the likes of which would terrify people - surely sabu was free for 30 mins?

Those that have seen it - what rating would u give it, most importantly - did it feel 'new'?

Can't comment yet, haven't been able to download it, nowhere has it up yet, which is crazy, I have skim read the results though, sounds very interesting to say the least.

Trust me, it felt spontaneous, the way wrestling use to.. sure things could've been done better.. i was screaming at my TV "U **** BLEW IT" during that Asylum match.

when u watch the show, u will see why there was no barbed wire. I could tell u, but I'll let u decide.

Lots of old faces, but maybe it was nostalgia but it was just awesome. And that Angle/STyles match.... If something beats that for match of the year.. I can't wait to see it.

Best part is, it leaves with a cool cliffhanger, so u have to tune in next week to find out what happens. U almost want previews like a regular TV show whereas with Raw.. there is no mystery or cliffhanger or incentive to find out what happens next week when John Cena does the same old **** or DX does the same old **** or Randy Orton and Legacy do the same old **** etc etc etc

With the Rating.. considering it was the number 1 trending topic on Twitter.. I'd imagine certain segments will easily hit the low 2's.

Lashley's heel turn looks to have arrived - that angle leaked some time back

let's face it Lashley didn't work as a face - but I'm still a bit disappointed they went with this angle, feels a bit stale (sharmell anyone?). Lashley might have worked paired up with someone in the bodyguard role

Lets hope so. That would be good for the wrestling industry. Gonna watch TNA tomorrow, so see what they did.

Well the rating got to 1.5 so thats pretty good.

Last night’s episode of the three-hour TNA iMPACT with Hulk Hogan scored a 1.5 cable rating. We don’t have anymore details on the rating right now but they will be available soon.

Considering they opposed RAW, thats impressive, be interesting to see what segments got what ratings, I'm sure that stuff will be out soon

The first hour of last night’s three-hour TNA iMPACT scored a 1.69 rating with 2.5 million viewers, making it the most-watched hour of TV in TNA history.

The second hour slipped to a 1.44 rating but featured the most-watched 15 minutes in TNA history with a 1.88 quarter-hour rating for Hulk Hogan’s debut at 9PM EST, head-to-head with Bret Hart’s return on WWE’s RAW.

The least-watched segment of the show came at the end of the second hour with a 1.16 quarter-hour rating with the Pope vs. Wolfe match and AJ Styles interview. This segment went up against the DX vs. JeriShow match on RAW.

The third hour of iMPACT dropped to a 1.22 rating. The range of quarter-hour ratings was between 1.17 and 1.30. The third hour peaked in the final 15 minutes of the show with a 1.30 rating. This was the end of Angle vs. Styles and the Foley beatdown from Hall, Nash and Sean Waltman with Hogan watching.

That rating is incredible! 0.5 was expected!

The best ever figures for impact - 50% higher than the previous week!

This would be stunning for a Thursday but live against RAW, a RAW with Bret Hart!

TNA will be rocking - this WITHOUT Flair or Hardy being known by joe public

Vince must still be shaking from Hardy's showing, but for impact to go against Raw and actually do better than usual is great

I am so pleased - a bad result wouldn't have killed TNA but would have killed the optimism and drive.

We're getting more Monday impacts!
