did i see that Sean Morley vs Daniels is gonna be on Genesis?

Isn't this whole PPV just thrown together?

In someways i quite like it. If they are saying "You know what guys, Go out there and show us you belong in the new TNA" This PPV is a chance to prove what many say that TNA is the far Superior in-ring.
This is how it works, You're young until you're not

On paper that is a superb match, both are extremely good workers in the ring.

I'm surprised they haven't added "Nasty Boys vs. Team 3D in a Nastyville vs. Dudleyville Street Fight"  :D

Brother Ray calling someone a beached whale, pot, kettle...black?  ;D

Halfway through Impact enjoying it so far. Generation Me look like mid 90s jobbers but hell can they wrestle, that was a superb opening match.  Great to see Angelina Love back.  Kong and Hamada, best female team EVER.

Welcome to Nastyville, haha, I feel 6 years old again.

Bischoff is a supreme talker to by the way, keep him in Foley's old role.

You can look hard but if u like Attitude TNA is hard to dislike right now. the transition to a purer mat wrestling style seems to be complete, not sure about that. For all the talk of changes impact looked more 'Russo' than ever - Dixie seems to like him, he's still officially head booker too

generation me made MCMG look like old men, they are stars

Few issues though - jarrett led the Frontline defending the young guys against the MEM, now he's taking Angle's former role...WWE reboots every 5 years, TNA takes 5 months...odd writing from Russo

angelina's face return was so obvious - as is her heel turn, I give it about 3 months till she rejoins TBP
impact is looking a bit crowded, second show needs to happen.

Since the entire of World Elite, sans Rob Terry were completely missing despite British Invasion's impending title defence.

Desmond Wolfe and D'Angelo Dinero are great, I'm all for pushing them, but heck, Wolfe beat Joe clean in what, 4...5 minutes?  Where does Joe go now.

Sean Morley looked and sounded fantastic, can't wait for his match with Daniels, I think WWE got sick of Morley cos he hasn't evolved, or is that his fault or there's, his gimmick though his identical to his 1998 one, he ain't changed a bit, its a nice flashback because he can still cut the promos and go in the ring.

Jarrett's backstage segment just came off crap, it said "Hogan wants to be the face so we'll re-write things even if they don't make sense".

Russo did a blog about a segment between Hogan and Jarrett that went wrong - I had believed he was talking about Hogan's debut but as everything is taped at once he might have meant that bit

what is jarrett's 'angle'? A match with Hogan? I'd assume the NWO will grow tired of Higan and work with Jarrett and Foley...can't see anything else working and to be fair there us a good takeover angle there with Jarretts and Foley's kayfabe shares would be believable they are fighting for majority control

all told nothing very original about any of this! Bah, who cares, change isn't always good...

Yeah, when i watch Impact, I don't even think about what has happened in the past. For instance, i love the Nasty Boys Team 3D thing even though they are all fat and past their primes, but hell, they've always been fat.

Its like watching a horror movie, u dont' judge it the same way u do an oscar caliber picture. I just want to see 3D and Nastys beat the living **** out of each other with as many weapons as possible. There will be tons of blood

When i Heard Hogan was coming in Jan 4th, I stopped watching Impact, cause I knew when he got there, things would change, so i didn't waste anytime watching up to that point.

Impact is coming and I think WWE should be very very worried. It won't happen overnight, but TNA will take them over within 2 years if Vince doesn't change.

They do have it weekly, every saturday night.

They got to it by....

Morley cutting his usual promo, Daniels coming out saying he hasn't worked hard to get his job back with the company for guys like him to come in, Daniels hit the BME on him, berated him, Morley recovered, knocked him out of the ring, and there ya go!

Fantastic PPV last night

I ordered it for 34.95 and I felt I got my money's worth from the AJ/Angle Main Event alone.

4 Sides traditional ring is so great. It just seemed better tonight. Not sure how much the ring made the difference, but I definitely loved the switch.

I avoided all spoilers, so i got great surprises with Kendrick and Mr Anderson

That Amazing Red version of the Canadian Destroyer was one of the greatest things we will see all year! fantastic!

AJ and Kurt truly delivered and the swerve at the end was genius. I in no way saw that coming and I think its perfect!

Strangely, the only  match I didn't like was Pope vs Wolfee.. I thought it just was awkward the entire match and they just didn't have too good of chemistry last night.

Knockout match was great, love how Tara took both falls, was waiting for the 1-1 with the 3rd fall being the decider, but nope. so kind of a minor swerve.

Hell, even Nash,Waltman vs Beer Money was good, of course Beer Money are the greatest tag team in the world, so i wasn't shocked

Kennedy is pretty overrated.. i never liked him much in WWE and he was decent last night but not one of my favorites... I admittedly bought the PPV hoping the surprise would be RVD or hell even Goldberg somehow.. Kennedy ain't changing or tipping the balance of power.

Now TNA should listen to me on this

Have Ric Flair as the head of a new group, kind of like Evolution

Have AJ of course and have Flair recruit Hernandez and Matt Morgan

U want to talk about a power house stable! AJ,Hernandez,Morgan with Flair as the JJ Dillon manager type. WOW!

Someone tell me, that wouldn't be a great idea.

Top 3 matches of the night:

1.Aj vs Angle *better than the 3 hour impact match. 30 plus minutes of WRESTLING and I wasn't bored one time. Never once did I feel like pausing the match and getting online or did I yawn.

2. Hernandez/Morgan vs British Invasion

3. ODB vs Tara   it still is outrageous how much better wrestlers they are than everyone on WWE. If i want hot women who can't wrestle, I'll watch ****.. I love wrestling and TNA deliver.

Overall, fabulous PPV, would rate it overall about an 7.5/10
If u love WRESTLING and not a bunch of overdone soap opera bullshit, this is a PPV for u.

I haven't seen the PPV yet but no knows who wins (Thanks Guys) :gtfo: ;D

What the hell happened to Hall.... Is he pulling out of shows already? He is a joke. Just get rid of him!

Like i said i haven't seen the PPV yet but now knowing that Daniels loses to Morley pisses me off as i knew that was gonna happen... but was hoping otherwise.

That combined with no Samoa Joe on the card just makes me wonder if they know what the **** they are doing. Having said that... by the sounds of it Hernandez and Morgan have won the tag titles which is great

I like D's idea of Flair leading a group, but i wouldn't want to see AJ in the group. Hernandez and Morgan along with someone else then i could get behind that. This time next year Morgan should be champion anyway.

AJ is with Flair already, so they are going to use Flair as Styles mentor I reckon.. see it does work perfect. Morgan with Styles and then have the good ole jealousy angle a few months down the road and have Morgan win the briefcase at feast or fired and get the world title shot..its been done a lot but its still a good angle.

Only  match they turned their back on was Morely winning, granted i wasn't happy about that either, but they have to build an angle. so if Daniels wins, there really is no feud.

See, one thing u guys are going to have to do is, u gotta forget what Morely was in WWE before leaving and other WWE guys coming in.

cause that is where Vince messed everything up. He couldn't swallow his pride enough to let WCW guys get wins over WWE and destroyed what should've been an amazing all time great angle with the invasion.

so sure, they could bring in WWE guys and job them left and right to make TNA appear to be superior, or they can use that talent in the right way to make great feuds and TV.

The opening segment was hilarious, heck Hogan got really pissed off telling the fans "Well you only got so far with 6 sides...."

It was priceless, I don't think they thought the reaction to the new (old) ring would be that hostile, loved the segment though, made me hope Hogan was a heel, I mean faces with all the power aren't as good.

Opening match was solid, although its one of the most grounded X-Division matches I've ever seen, maybe Kendrick wasn't held back up North, his style doesn't seem any different.  And as I said, enjoyable and solid as it was, it pales in comparison to the killer match MCMG and Generation Me had on thursday.

Morley came out, did his Val Venis schtick and got hated on for it, Daniels the heel, was the clear favourite even after tell the fans to stick it.  I liked the match, Daniels dominated and looked strong, aside from losing, Morley sold the beating afterwards, hold his throat as Daniels had been working away with choke holds and such all match, you can't just review a show from someone else's review  :P  Fans hated it though and when he won nearly all the front row had their backs to him.

The Knockouts match did nothing for me, granted they are better than WWE's lot but I'd of rather had more X-Division stuff in this slot, or the hard hitting Women's Tag Champs.

I liked Pope vs Wolfe, old school, technical feel to the match, all about Wolfe working away on Pope's legs/knees to impair him from hitting his finisher, the old school psychology of working away on a body part and having some intelligence in a match works as a nice contrast to spot fests in other parts.

Tag Title Bout was an alright match, nice to see new Champions but I never really got that into it.  Williams carried the match for his team, and maybe's its because I'm paying more attention to the product now, but Magnus looked really, really green, his selling looked plain awful.

The Band vs. Beer Money was surprisingly fun, I even liked the end, it worked in character with Scott Hall's problems.

Ken Anderson's appearance had me pumped, but as expected, as soon as he started wrestling my interest quickly vanished.  He just isn't that good in the ring.  And the crowd, who respect good wrestling saw that.  They popped big style when he came out.  2 minutes in they were chanting overated and at other times were barely chanting anything as they were just plain bored.  The dude is a good character but thats about it.

Superb Main Event, and having Ric Flair align with Styles is a great idea.  Styles has been floundering as the babyface on top, something had to change, Flair in this role can give him the much needed "Rub" and I like D's idea, a stable, ala Evolution of up and comers with Flair as their mentor is a great idea.  Fact is Styles isn't much of a talker, so having Flair as his manager/mentor is perfect, I loved the look on Styles face when he turned to, truly a great moment.

Overall, decent show!
