And Damn I forgot how shitty Jeff Hardy is on the mic. Quick someone get that dude a manager to be the mouth piece.
Would he work with a manager though?  What kind of person would be a good mouthpiece for the dude?
Good point ... forget the Manager thing. just have dude pull a sting from the 1996-1997 era.

Considering how whacky he can be, a character in that sort of vein, with his own spin on it could work.

I wonder how much of the ratings drop was to do with Stone Cold and how much was to do with the show being taped, I think next's weeks figures when its live again should give us a better idea of things.

stone cold

i even watched raw live and taped TNA.... so really, i think that number isn't bad considering Stone Cold was there. plus the WM rewind matches etc.

taped probably did hurt... i think u have to go live.

**** part is, they featured Hogan and co less and did more wrestling.. hope this doesn't turn it back to the promo fest and less wrestling.

Unquestionably TNA has all the pieces - it just needs to put them together

Sting, Hogan, Hardy, Angle, NWO - wasn't the old WCW slogan 'where the big boys play'? In 2010 TNA has the monopoly on big names

Thought this was another good ep - i no longer think they are doing things wrong as such - it's just they can do things better

maybe a bit of forward planning is missing -if they want to make it happen they need to have a long term plan for angles, style, the works

WITH a smile and his "Bang Bang" catchphrase Mick Foley took centre stage last night as TNA once more made its mark on wrestling's Monday night live scene.

The **** legend may have lost a 'career v career' match against good pal Jeff Jarrett, but Foley had the last laugh when he punched outspoken shock jock Bubba The Love Sponge in the face backstage and genuinely busted him open.

Not only did it please wrestling fans the world over, but it left Foley's opponent overjoyed too.

After Bubba posted up a snap of his injuries on Twitter, Jeff Tweeted to say "Welcome to TNA Biatch" and suggested we all record the show and watch the brutal blow in slo-mo to savour it over and over again.

The live Impact taping once more proved that TNA has the talent to achieve success, if they can forgo egos and favouritism and allow the in-ring action to speak for itself.

The main event saw RVD and Jeff Hardy beat the team of Beer Money Inc, following a truly superb battle.

The finish was equally splendid as the faces unleashed a Rolling Thunder, Swanton and finally a Five Star Frog Splash to secure the win.

Other events saw Jarrett not only down Foley in that memorable career match, but deck Eric Bischoff with a nice guitar shot to the head, to open proceedings.

TNA Knockout tag team champions The Beautiful People and Daffney had a reasonable brawl with the team of Tara, Angelina Love, Taylor Wilde and Sarita, with Daffney picking up the pin.

While Hulk Hogan and Abyss hyped up the main event for Lockdown, AJ Styles and Ric Flair sold their post-Destination X injuries, confirming both combos will be a part of the Lockdown main event, with Sting surprisingly fronting Team Flair against Team Hogan in a cage.

Elsewhere Rob Terry bested Tomko in a squash match, Matt Morgan seemed to injure former tag partner Hernandez in a short outing - that saw his former LAX pal Homicide run-in - and Eric Young set up an alliance with RVD and Jeff Hardy to battle the newly re-formed Wolfpac.

TNA certainly brought their A game to live TV once again, proving they have the tools at their disposal to give as good as they get against the WWE.

Although this edition of Impact may be best remembered as the show where Foley struck a blow for fans everywhere.

TNA may be making needed change

Spike's web site for 4/5 lists TNA Impact as airing on Monday from 8-10 p.m. instead of 9-11 p.m.  This gives them an hour unopposed.  At this point, according to both Spike and TNA sources, only 4/5 will be airing in that time slot and 4/12 would be back in the 9-11 p.m. slot.  On Jan. 4, TNA did its best hour, by far, at 8-9 p.m. before Raw started.  We will update this later.  Given the nature of television, if ratings of the first hour on 4/5 are strong, the idea of moving permanently would almost have to be discussed.

Thanks to Devin Cutting

TNA already accepting defeat and moving slots

Maybe putting ur stronger hour against WWE's weaker is sound tactics but it's clear WWE has bested them in strength

they need to hang in there - prove themselves to the fans

The Sun's article is the first positive I think I've ever heard about TNA

Sites across the net are universally back WWE, it's rather strange

The trick is to come on at 8, have wrestling fans start with TNA and love it so much they don't bother switching over to WWE.

WCW had to crawl before they walked. TNA going on at 8 would be a good idea IMO.

I'd guess most people get sick of wrestling after 2 hrs, so they start with TNA but even if they switch to Raw they won't actually bother to finish it - doesn't boost TNA's rating but undermines WWE

it's sabotage!

Partial source: Prowrestling.net

- Word is that a TNA office worker was the one who actually did the guitar work on iMPACT this past week when Eric Bischoff opened the show with a guitar solo in the ring. The story goes that trick camera work was used to make it look like Bischoff was actually playing.
