Wade Barrett getting the strap?
« on: October 07, 2010, 02:20:19 am »
With John Cena apart of Nexus, will Barrett win the strap at Bragging Rights?

Do you think he deserves a run this soon?

Yes and No.

Now I will explain my reasons, yes he needs to help make him a mainstay as a heel and it help push Nexus and Cena storyline a little bit longer. No because I just do not believe Wade Barrett has done anything to make his self stand out in order to become WWE Champion.

Yes and run with the angle with him and Cena until Wrestlemania, a good, deep well thought out feud.  Admittedly it won't happen, but one can hope...

Not sure

I always seem to support the rapid push - till it happens.

Sheamus won it far too quickly - I think u need to earn ur spot first otherwise the title looks like a toy everyone gets to play with

Just a basic idea... but Barret wins the title, Cena fights him at the Royal Rumble.

Then Cena fights Taker at Wrestlemaina in the Unfication title match,

Doubt it though/

That'd work for me, especially if Cena was a proper heel for 'Mania.

Not sure if its just me but i still don't think Barrett is ready to be World Champ.

I think he could of done with a focused stint as US Champion within all this Nexus storyline.

I'm all for new faces at the top (i think i've been knocking on that door for a while). I like Sheamus i think he is very good at what he does, but despite being impressed with Barrett, i still think he needs more time before giving him the strap.

Orton is looking the part as champion and in a way has been unfortunate to play second fiddle to this Nexus/Cena storyline. I'm hoping that Orton retains and moves on to defend against someone else (not Nexus or Sheamus related)

Anyway thats my two cents

Why do you say that? and do you think he should?

Nexus beat the crap out of Orton on Raw, so Ye Olde Wrestlinge Logic says that Orton should get his revenge at BR. It'll probably be something along the lines of, Cena does something to Orton to help Barrett win, but it's not enough and Orton ends up winning. I think they did something similar a couple of years back when Shawn Michaels was 'employed' by JBL and had to help him win matches....

I don't see Barrett winning this Sunday, but I'm sure something will happen to increase the tension between him and Cena. What I'm wondering is, how long is Cena going to be part of Nexus and where does it go? Does Cena stay a member until Mania where he faces Barrett in a match to get out of the group? Does he turn heel and embrace being a part of them? :o

I think they may take the Rumble route.

Cena wins Rumble when Nexus eliminate Barrett by mistake. Barrett then orders Cena to lie down for him in a match for the title match at Mania. GM makes winner takes all match at NWO (Cena's WM spot vs Barrett's control over Cena). Nexus and Ex-Nexus interfere and match is a no-contest... GM gives Barrett choice between Cena in Nexus & the title shot at Mania.... He chooses the title Match. Cena is angry he isn't involved in the title match but forces his way in to make the match a triple threat.

Thats one way
