I don't see how Barrett does not win the belt at Survivor Series.

Double Pin/Draw.

Don't think they aren't silly enough to do it :P.

Well Cena won't be fired. It would be stupid to just have Cena "fired" and then "hired" back a week or two later. So Barrett has to win the belt.

Barrett wins, Cena beats him up, Miz cashes in?

That's the most likely scenario I can think of, only problem with that is, what are the rest of Nexus doing while this is going on? :weightlifting: I know Cena's sometimes booked like Supermanm but I doubt they'll have him and maybe Orton take out 7 guys....

Summerslam '97-esque ending.

Am I the only one who remembers reading something about Cena leaving to film a movie soon?

Hmm, haven't read that, but hasn't Cena filmed movies before without taking much time off? Whatever happens tonight, I don't see Barrett winning the title, or if he does, not holding it for very long. Which is unfortunate as I'd like to see that, I like his character and promos. With him as WWE Champ and say, Otunga winning the US Title, they could really get Nexus over as nearly unstoppable.

Solid PPV. I can't say I had a problem with any of matches outside of the tag match and the divas match.

Beth returning was sort of predictable after we saw Natalya get attacked after the match.

I am really surprised that they had no twists in the main event, and Orton retained. I was expecting someone else to come out the whole time.

They have to continue the Orton and Barrett feud because there is nobody else for Orton to feud with. RAW should be interesting tomorrow night.

Thought it was a pretty good show, especially the first half.  Bryan vs DiBiase was probably the best match Ted has had.  Morrison and Sheamus was decent to.  MOTN for me though was Kaval vs Ziggler, loved it, and Kaval was booked to look strong despite losing.  SS Elimination Match was entertaining even though it lacked a dramatic finish, surely everyone thought Del Rio would return, right?  The emotion of Natalya and Beth's return was cool, the match was meh but thankfully short.  The World Title match seemed to be going in slow motion, but for the closing sequence and post match stuff it sucked.  Tag Title was short and alright, but not really PPV stuff, it served its purpose though, to show Nexus to be the dominant force that they are going into the ME.  The Barrett vs Orton match was not good to be honest, it wasn't bad per say, but it didn't do much for me, the post match stuff was good, the emotion in the fans with Cena, look on Ortons face, really well done, glad they gave it plenty of time (no quick cuts at the end).  Also credit as usual to the guys who do the video packages, the Cena based one at the beginning of the show and before the ME did a really great job of selling the importance and emotion of the match and angle.  So a great first half, slightly let down by the second, but overall enjoyable stuff and one of the better recent PPVs.

there is nobody else for Orton to feud with.
The Miz.

Quite enjoyed SS overall. Agree with Hammy about the opening match probably being the best one DiBiase has had so far. I still don't like hos boy band music though... :undecided:

Sheamus/Morrison was good too, though I thought the ending was a bit odd. Morrison basically got beat up for 95% of the match before managing to steal a win from somewhere. The stuff about standing up to bullies is kinda cheesy though.  Like Sheamus said, "What is this? Primary shcool?" ;D

The SS Elimination Match was surprising too, I thought after the way the Battle Royal ended on SD, Team Del Rio would win. But as soon as it came down to McIntyre being the last man left for his team, you knew it wasn't happening. I too thought Alberto was gonna come back out but alas he didn't. I have a complaint o make about his scarf though. It wasn't very impressive looking at all. What happened to his usual one? Was that even a scarf he wore out to the ring? It was really thin and uninspiring....

The main event didn't pan out as dramatically as I expected. Usually these wrestling 'firings' only last a few weeks or so, so I didn't see them putting all this build-up into having Cena get fired and only be gone for a short amount of time. I still don't think he'll be out for long. Vince will probably notice the drop in merchandise sales and bring him back ASAP. Speaking of Vinnie Mac, they're claiming he's in a coma? Despite the fact he was in that campaing/dream thing a few weeks back?? Anyway, I didn't think Nexus's beatdown of him was that severe.....

The Survior Series elimination match it self meant nothing, there was no stip. big story to it like there used to be years ago.

The main event was the real downside though, all that build for a fake firing. Cena will be back by Wrestlemaina at the latest if not next week.

Remember when Survior Series, had Shawn Micheals vs. Bret Hart in 97, Triple H vs. Stone Cold in 2000, Austin getting hit by a car in 99, the end of the big WWE vs. WCW/ECW invasion angle in 2000 and Shawn Micheals last title win the elimination chamber 2002.

It is one of my favorite PPV concepts, but last night was just another throw away even that no one remember by next year.
