I'm sure D was raving about it on facebook, I think I remember a mention of Steve Buscemi?

Good show?

It's quite a slow burn. Critics say it's a mash-up of every HBO show ever made, but it's starting to find it's original characters. It's worth giving a shot. Hopefully Season 2 will give the show it's identity.

Descriptions like that often make me think "It has critical acclaim, but truth be told, most people think its boring..."

I personally thought it was AWESOME

its one of those great character/interesting slow developing series but very interesting

to me anyway it was.

Kind of like Justified was for me, how first few episodes was kinda slow introducing everyone, setting the table etc.

I would certainly recommend it.

that being said, i don't have it on the Shield, Dexter level.... but its good

First few episodes were slow, but i have learnt from shows like Mad Men, The Wire & Sopranos that you have to give some of the best shows time.

Have to say though that as a whole season (which by the way i watched in a weekend) the show was great. I'm a massive fan of real mafia based stuff. Most of the books i read are about the Costra Nostra or Mafia/Gangster stuff so i find this era really interesting. Hopefully this will last out until Capone's reign in Chicago and the Valentine's Day Massacre fallout. Could be some really interesting stuff.

Great Show!
This is how it works, You're young until you're not
You love until you don't, You try until you can't
You laugh until you cry, You cry until you laugh
And everyone must breathe, Until their dying breath

Been watching it on Sky Atlantic.  I'm about 5 episodes in, but it is a superb show, I know some are saying its the new Sopranos (I've only just started watching that though so that means bugger all).  I don't even think the show is much of a slow burner, its get right in there and I've liked the pace myself, I think the only complaint is sometimes there is too much going on, at times less would be more ;)
