Jeff Hardy
« on: July 16, 2009, 12:00:25 pm »
Unless plans change, Jeff Hardy will be done with WWE full time in three weeks as his contract will be up then. It's still possible he will stay for SummerSlam but John Laurinaitis has booked WWE events in August without him.

So I guess this means Punk triumphs in the end (wahey!).  How would you book his exit though?  "A loser leaves town match?" or Punk puts something in his water and Jeff fails a 3rd drug test?  :P

Think we'll be seeing Jeff Hardy in TNA again come September?

If he's wanting a break from all wrestling in general, I think it'll be like RVD and if he does return, it'll be to the WWE.

That's what I'd expect to, I don't think TNA will factor, it'd be cool if it did from a competition point of view but I doubt it, I think the most interesting aspect is the question of how will they write him out of storylines.

Not really full proof stuff but hopefull:

WWE added Jeff Hardy's name to the list of wrestlers on the November UK Tour earlier today. Hardy's name was absent from the list of wrestlers on tour for the past couple of weeks, but as of tonight he was added behind Undertaker and CM Punk. Edge was removed from the list which indicates this is an updated version of the list. Its possible Hardy signed a long-term contract or short-term extension.

I hope that is true, he has been a great part of the improved Smackdown programming of recent months.

The word at the WWE TV tapings this week was that World Heavyweight Champion Jeff Hardy will be taking some time off after SummerSlam. One source says that Hardy was surprised WWE put the belt on him because they had some what known by then that he was going to leave for a while to pursue other things. Word is that they may be working on some kind of merchandise deal while he’s gone. Hardy has apparently been telling people that he is not looking to leave to join another company. It’s safe to say that Hardy will be dropping the belt at SummerSlam or some time soon unless things change with him leaving.

It is annoying for me they put the belt on him then, this is what his 3rd reign?  And its going to be another short one, I was hoping he could get a decent run with it.

They put the belt on him to save that PPV.

- WWE is still trying to get Jeff Hardy to stay with the company since he is still planning to leave after Summerslam at this point. The outcome of Hardy's TLC match with CM Punk should indicate what his final decision will end up being.

Mike Johnson from PWInsider reported in the Elite Section that, Jeff Hardy will have his last WWE Appearance on the first Smackdown show after Summerslam.
This means that Jeff Hardy has to lose the title at Summerslam OR on the next Smackdown Show after Summerslam.

Johnson also reports that Undertaker will return and take the free spot that Jeff Hardy leaves behind.

Vince McMahon already told the production crew and the creative team last week to come up with ideas for the Undertaker comeback.

None of this adds up.

Jeff has had years of problems, but right now he is no. 1 in the company - surely he has HHH/HBK booking clout now?

Why would he want to leave after years of fighting for this spot?

He won't go to TNA but what else does he have in mind?

Resting, the business takes its toll.

Rob Van Dam has done the same, and he is loving his time off, a recent interview I read he isn't even 100% he'll ever return.

Matt Hardy posted the following message on Twitter Friday night and we'll just have to see what happens next:

Here's an update for the "sheets"-Jeff & I might not team again due to pursuing singles careers. And Jeff will be with WWE after Summerslam.
