Source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter

- There are conflicting reports coming in on Jeff Hardy’s status with TNA. Sources in the company are saying that Hardy has signed a contract with the company while friends of Hardy have said that he told them he has absolutely not signed a deal. The fact Hardy hasn’t appeared with TNA since January 4th would indicate that he hasn’t signed or committed to any dates.

It’s said that WWE still wants Hardy back eventually. Hardy was apparently upset at the recent segments on WWE’s SmackDown with CM Punk where Punk poked fun at him. One person close to Hardy said that one of the reasons he decided to appear on January 4th was just to prove a point to WWE. Word is that friends of Hardy are telling him that at the end of the day, Jeff in TNA is a bad move because he comes across as a much bigger star with WWE.

Increasingly looks like a stunt - he can return to WWE on twice the money

Jeff Hardy just Tweeted this:

"HeavensDemons...airhedge&itchweeed ready to hitTNA with some shockfactor..you dig thy name...HeavensDemons?"

For those who don't know, he refers to himself as "itchweed" & Shannon as "airhedge".

From pwtorch.com

Hulk Hogan suggested Jeff Hardy is still onboard to work for TNA after Hardy made his surprise return on the January 4 live Impact despite some questions about whether TNA would continue to use Hardy with his current legal issues.

Hogan said on Rob Van Dam's radio show last night that he talked to Hardy on Tuesday about some "crazy ideas" for Hardy's role on TNA TV. Hogan also gave RVD the sales pitch to join TNA and work with Hardy.

"At the end of the day, it's a situation where everyone wants to be here. I was on the phone with Jeff Hardy last night and we were talking about you and we had some ideas doing some fun things," Hogan told RVD.

Later in the radio show, Hogan made a guarantee that the crazy ideas with Hardy will work. He didn't say what they are, as Hogan and Hardy were apparently just having a stream of consciousness creative session over the phone.

"I walked into the pot of gold with all of these wrestlers and all this talent. Me and Jeff Hardy are on the phone coming up with some of the most whacked ideas in the world and I guarantee they're going to work," Hogan said in his classic "positive energy" way of speaking.

Caldwell's Analysis: I'll have a column on this later today, but based on listening to Hogan's entire sales pitch on RVD's show last night, it's apparent TNA is either going to blow up in a good way or blow up in a bad way. The "whacked out ideas" with Hardy is a microcosm of the overall picture of TNA's potential for major success or major failure right now.

That's a good analysis at the end, whether its really bad or really good television, things are going to be highly entertaining.

According to a source within TNA, Jeff Hardy is telling people that he's still "supremely confident" that he will get out of the current legal mess he's in, and if he does, he's headed to TNA.

When Hardy debuted with TNA back on the live, January 4th Impact special, the deal was for one night only despite reports claiming that he had signed some type of extended contract with the company.

However, Hardy's agent is still negotiating with TNA, and Jeff fully expects to be a full-time member of the TNA roster if/when his legal situation clears up.

Well, he's in the TNA opening credits.  Whether that means anything or not I guess remains to be seen.

presumably if u agree to appear on TNA u give them permission to use that footage how they want

this delay in signing has really killed the momentum - this would have been massive, now it's all a bit awkward

Same thing they did with Lashley, I know they wanted to make the show special, but they'd have been better waiting 'til they had him signed to an iron clad contract, I mean he didn't, but potentially he could have shown up on WWE TV a week later.

Current TNA superstar Jeff Hardy’s trial on four cases will begin tomorrow, March 17th, in the Superior Court of Moore County, North Carolina.

Hardy was arrested on September 11, of last year when police searched his home and found 262 Vicodin prescription pills, 180 soma prescription pills, 555 milliliters of anabolic steroids, a residual amount of powder **** and drug paraphernalia.

Jeff was indicted on January 4th, 2010. Hardy is currently facing five felonies in total, a misdemeanor charge and a conspiracy charge. Below are the charges related to his arrest.

* Felony drug trafficking
* Two counts of felony possession of a schedule III controlled substance or drugs.
* Misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia
* Conspiracy to traffic opium for trafficking four or more grams but less than fourteen grams of opium/heroin.

The conspiracy to traffic opium charge is a new charge that has recently been brought forth.

A 12-persona jury will be seated in the court room to overhear the case, and when the DA and Defense rest their case, the jury will determine whether Hardy is Guilty or Not Guilty on each of the charges.

If the jury finds Hardy guilty of any charges, another court date will be set for sentencing.

Doesn't sound great, but would TNA have been stupid enough to re-debut him again if they thought he was going down??

Surely Jeff is a sufficiently big star to be classified under American law as a celebrity?

Under celebrity law you walk free unless ur victim was another celebrity

Thus Jeff could have taken heroin live on Impact and got away with it...

God forbide if the court system tried you as a 'normal' person!

Ah money!
