Surely Jeff is a sufficiently big star to be classified under American law as a celebrity?

Under celebrity law you walk free unless ur victim was another celebrity

Thus Jeff could have taken heroin live on Impact and got away with it...

God forbide if the court system tried you as a 'normal' person!

Ah money!

It's a double edged sword. The court could look to make an example of him as well. I guess we will soon see how it all shakes out. If you read some of the news reports,a lot of this won't stick as the Police are believed to have sent the package to Jeff's house in order to have probable cause to search his house. Still, even a short jail term won't kill Jeff's popularity.

Jeff Hardy’s next court date will be on Tuesday, July 6th. Hardy’s trial was set to begin this past week and apparently the District Attorney has dropped some of Hardy’s charges as the North Carolina courts website now says he is only being charged with Conspiracy to Traffic Opium. The situation seems to be looking better for Hardy.

Not this time. The cops didn't have much of  case to begin with. They delayed the trial several times and have now begun to drop charges left and right.

If they'd found him in the station with a kilo of the stuff he'd have walked free

Charlie Sheen would actually need to kill a woman infrint of the Supreme Court to get a jail term and the less said about Wacko Jacko the better

UK justice seems to get the right man irrespective of his wealth or colour, trouble is we then let them go! Damnit!

To follow up on an earlier report from Monday evening stating that several charges were dropped against current TNA star Jeff Hardy, it turns out a big clerical error took place when members of the pro wrestling media contacted Moore County officials earlier this week.

The Pilot is now reporting that Hardy still faces all of his previous drug charges and any reports that charges were dropped are false. District Attorney Maureen Krueger added, "His charges are still pending. In fact, a new one was added." Hardy's case has been pushed once again after a June 3rd meeting in court filled the available time. As plans stand now, Hardy will return to court on July 6.

So, who are they? Better yet, who do we want them to be?

For me - I want an anti-bischoff group lead by Sting who believe Bischoff and Hogan will doom TNA in true WCW style. Who do they want in charge? Why Paul Heyman of course...

Sting, Nash, Steiner - seem like good candidates for membership

I'll give TNA credit for doing something that almost nobody expected but I don't think Jeff Hardy as a heel will work. First of all Jeff is way too nice outside of the ring to pull this off. He always makes time for his fans. Now if this is strictly a TV angle and Jeff continues to do the polaroids at TNA house shows then maybe this stands a chance. But Jeff Hardy as a corporate, chicken-**** heel (if that is how they book this) will not work. Matt's latest Youtube video seems to indicate he is going to TNA for his Brother so who knows where this is going.

I found this on another board and it looks like TNA actually did some long term planning on this angle:

Jeff Hardy, Jeff Jarrett, Hogan, Bischoff, and Abyss are "They"

Winner and New TNA World Champion: Jeff Hardy

- After the pin, Hardy celebrates with his TNA World Title and Bischoff & Hogan. Jeff Jarrett and Abyss run down to join the celebration. This appears to be ?they.? Rob Van Dam comes down to ask Hardy what he?s doing. Hardy lays out RVD with the belt. Bound For Glory goes off the air with Hardy, Abyss, Jarrett, Hogan and Bischoff celebrating in the ring.

Yeah it makes sense when you look at the timeline.
January HOGAN's debut and Hardy's return.
February-Abyss tries to win belt but can't pull it off.
March-Abyss fails but dominates Flair/AJ
April-Hardy/Abyss/Jarrett/RVD joins HOGAN's team for Lockdown and RVD slips past Hardy to take the spot light and become champ.
May-RVD is champion at the Sacrifice PPV and Hardy begins a shakey relationship with Anderson.
June-Fans wait for Anderson to turn on Hardy but he never does, RVD keeps the man that Hogan/Bischoff have issues with(Sting) from winning the belt).
July-RVD squeaks by with his belt in a 4way also featuring Hardy/Abyss/Anderson meaning THEY had 2 men trying to steal the belt.
August-Abyss turns on Hogan and takes out RVD, which finally results in him losing the belt. Abyss never gets punished for attacking RVD.
September-Hardy advances in the tournament claiming he's doing it for RVD when he's actually doing it for himself.
October-Hogan and Bischoff endorse Angle and Anderson for champ showing the DECEPTION that Sting has been talking about for months. Finally Hogan/Bischoff show their true colors and help Hardy win the belt after they've had Dixie sign papers to fire Abyss that will turn out to be control of TNA.

I read the results, but only rarely watch bits on TNA.

Doesn't sound like something i need in my life, seems like the worst moments of 90s wrestling rolled repeated every week.

I'm glad I'm not addicted it, like others here I'd guess are.

Few issues with this

1) which TNA star is getting pushed? None

2) why reveal 5 members now - why not reveal 3 and claim 2 more are waiting - that gives u 2 more big heel turns to play with

3) haven't I seen hardy and abyss fight many times?

4) what happens to fortune? They are overshadowed

1. Abyss is being pushed through the roof  AJ,Beer Money, Morgan,Kaz being pushed through the roof in Fortune, Motor City Machine Guns ,Generation Me are being pushed through the roof

C'mon dude!

2.it may still work out there is more, i like having all 5 now. it puts a nice ribbon on this 6 month long in the making storyline.

3. part of the making u not suspect this is possible part. Abyss never did to Hardy what he did to RVD. Also, maybe Hardy only decided to join "They" the past week or so

4. definitely pissed they jobbed to EV 2.0  for me that was stupid but the group still has potential.

Mr. Anderson?s merchandise numbers have been a good surprise for TNA as he is just a little bit behind Rob Van Dam in terms of sales. Jeff Hardy?s merchandise is currently the best seller for TNA.

I assume they designed the worst looking belt ever in an attempt to get more heat....right?
