The Usos
« on: February 03, 2011, 10:11:17 am »
Prior to the match pitting Mark Henry and The Great Khali against Jimmy and Jey Uso on Raw, The brand's General Manager switched the bout to a dance-off. The World?s Strongest Man and The Punjabi Playboy notched the victory with their unorthodox dance moves.

Former WWE star Rikishi, father of the Uso brothers, took to Twitter to express his unhappiness for the angle.

My thoughts on my sons? dance off? Didn?t really need it. Creative Team WTF!! Its not that hard to figure in talent.

Tag Teams in the WWE are not really the focus as we can see. Soon Usos will be in singles.

Did anyone else expect him to show up?  When they mentioned a dance off I thought it was going to lead to a Rikishi cameo since they have regularly acknowledged him being The Usos dad.

Watching this weeks WWE Superstars (Yes, I watch it - sometimes), The Usos looked the best they ever have in WWE (I realise that isn't to hard).  Going up against Corre members Gabriel & Slater, for the first time in their WWE careers they played the babyfaces.  They were able to utilise more high flying moves, put dance moves into the match (ala Rikishi), and actually for a few (mild) pops for it.  They actually showed off some personality, and as far as in-ring talent goes, they are probably two of the most talented guys on the roster.  If by some miracle we ever did get some effort put into the division again, as a babyface team, give air time for character development, these guys could actually do really well!

Jim Ross: "Watching SD on UniversalHD. Usos impressed. Showing more fire. Hope tag teams can establish rivalries as time goes on."

John Cena: "CeNation. Getting many questions about my thoughts on Usos. They are gifted athletes and have not even begun to show the WWE how gr8 they R"

Tyson Kidd: "Speaking of talent-what are thoughts on Uso's ring entrance? These guys have it all"

CM Punk: "Usos doing a Haka on my TV is pro wrestling. It?s right. It feels good. Also happens to be entertaining. Funny how that works, eh?"

Eh??

Anyway, thankfully they weren't shouting as much during their match this week. Could get over if WWE stick with this push, but I remember they were supposed to be big news when they first arrived....

USO!  I like this push, and the idea of a proper division.  Hopefully they build on it.  They work so very well with Slabriel.  Shame they don't push this guys enough to give them a feud with....well....gimmick matches.  These 2 teams in a TLC match with the New Nexus Champs?  Otunga aside the in-ring quality is there.

Haha, I'm afraid I might have to question St. Punk this one time. Surely a war dance is more in line with 'entertainment' than 'wrestling'?? :weightlifting:
